Doffy is extremely resilient, he saw hell as a kid, so nothing can shake him and he also has conqueros haki, so he has the qualities of a king, which mainly a strong will and never breaks down. One point that i find interesting about prisons in one piece, is why the hell does the WG keep those high profile pirates in prison,why not executing them on the spot, it s lower risk than keeping those dangerous devil fruit users alive in prison with the possibility of breaking out.

Regarding Lucci and Kaku. In the manga, some of the background is given through cover stories that the anime just doesn't animate for reasons unknown. One of the cover stories is about CP9. The cover story is called 'CP9's Independent Report', if you're interested in checking it out. The One Piece wiki has all the pages but here's the gist of it - we learn that Spandam pushed the blame of Ennies Lobby's fall onto Lucci and the other CP9 members. Lucci is rescued by Blueno and the others and taken to a hospital in a nearby island. The CP9 members then raise money to save Lucci by providing services, like Kalifa uses her soap powers to clean the town, Jyabura and Kaku perform circus tricks, etc. After Lucci awakens, he calls Spandam to tell him that he will return.

actualy it's not spoiler but you wouldnt know, because this from cover story in manga. when we see luffy get statue in dressrosa, for ussop actualy it not his first statue, but second, first ussop get his statue in skypea, because he introduce rubber to the country. please sometime you should react to one piece cover story in manga, it really important side story, some time as anime watcher only it would be confuse when we meet old character in new place, like buggy, mr 1 in impel down etc, because the story only at cover story

Didn't anyone remember that Sanji's poster had Duval's photo? They already knew who Sanji was, but he kept it secret when the photographer took the photo and changed it to Durval.
