Apparently the reason the opening is full of references is because the mangaka is a big fan of western films so mappa gave us this masterpiece of an opening

Roshi’s so far the only reactor I’ve seen who caught on to Makima “keeping” Denji essentially being him going from one owner to another, and he caught it frame 1! Also LMAO the red flag when Makima showed up! Editor’s on point.

I loved the first episode! All of the voice actors and actresses did an excellent job, but Denji's voice actor, Kikunosuke Toya, stole the show for me. He did an excellent job portraying Denji's character, and as a manga reader, his voice is exactly what I imagined him to sound like! And the maniacal laughter at the end was truly terrifying. Furthermore, this is his very first lead role! He did an outstanding job! 👏

@@randomtechpriest Cool, except no. Because Pochita was going to be his heart regardless of whether or not Denji had his mother’s condition. What would he be? His eye? His balls? His kidney? It’s why it’s never brought up and only in the first chapter. And it’s why when his deal with Pochita wavered he started dying.

I just realized that Denji's debt that his dad left him with which was around 700,000 compounded into 38 million yen over the course of time due to interest, fees etc.... He was literally never going to pay this off. Puts into perspective the reality of life he was living and yet he still managed it as well as he could given all those circumstances. I really connected with Denji and his backstory. Excited for the next episode!!!

(sorry for my bad english) Like The 90s anime. Btw The only CGI part was The Chainsaw man Character Design (not all of the times) and the background. Not The whole Show and that's because it's a nightmare to animate all of those frames for the chainsaw on his Head and on his hands. Because It is moving all the time. And it's Really blended with The 2d Really well

Denji and power dancing with the 3rd guy looking at them in the OP gave off yuji and Nobara with megumi vibes Also the scene with Pochita in Denji's consciousness reminds me of Migi in Parasyte. The voices even sound similar AND he also replaced his heart, thus reviving his host/buddy

I think a lot of people, including manga readers, never really considered how brutal of a weapon a chainsaw is until we saw it animated. A cut from a chainsaw is slow, jagged, and about as painful as a cut/stab wound can get.

That's called good Character acting(body language). Like The grisha Scene in AOT season 4 part 2. It's Really hard to animate (even sometimes harder than some sakugas). That's because this Show has a Really staked staff and a Really good schedule

Sheera is one of the smartest reactors I've seen. I did think that since a devil kinda fused with him he would have some regenerative powers, that's why he got his eye etc.... I also thought his heart was gonna heal but Pochita literally said I'll give you my heart. Still the same but bruh she a goat.

I love Denji. He's really a simple boy with simple dreams. He just wanna get food and a girl and even live a good life. Reminds me of another character who just wants to help everyone, but is restricted by an entity. Bless his heart. I saw that flag, editor. **Kill Bill's siren theme plays**

Denji isn't your ordinary Shonen MC which has determination to accomplish their greatness goals, he just wants a normal life and having ton of sex with couple of girlfriends, man's too relatable for most of us
