EXACTLY, worse yet are the reviewers who don't even know enough to give the listener ANY sample of the barking sounds and pattern, they just yak, yak, yak away or say nothing at all and play frogs and bugs and everything but a DOG! By the time the video is over and I've heard NOT ONE BARK from the alarm, I'm so disgusted, I've decided if that's supposed to count as a helpful review or tutorial of that particular brand, I'm sure as **** not going to put out money for it.....and I move on with hope for something better from the next review.....and, alas, here I am, my list of options getting shorter and shorter!

I live in an upstairs apartment and will pretty much be using this thing for when I am asleep and when I am away from home at work or running errands. What would you recommend setting this too as far as sensitivity goes and how loud? Does it stop barking when people move away from it or does it keep barking?

You would have to play with the sensitivity because each area of coverage is different. I like making it loud, and it stops barking when they move away from the secured area.

If you have a screen door will it block the microwaves?

Does it detect motion through a closed front door. In other words will it bark if someone is moving outside your house when the unit is inside your house.

My unit will not make a noise. The unit is plugged in, the green light is on, volume is turned up, but there is no alarm. Not a bark, not a chime not an alarm. Can you help me trouble shoot

If this is a Streetwise unit as shown it will have a warranty. It sounds like the unit is defective.

How realistic is the barking?

if you listen long enough it can sound rather metallic, a cone on the outside of the speaker eliminates the metallic effect

I own 3 of them. Barking is realistic enough, only problem is, it's repetitive and familiar to many people, causing them to suspect it's a fake
