5 ай бұрынI revisited Dog Cove to check out all the improvements to the Jimmy Davis home place as well as the new trails being developed. I stopped briefly at Lost Creek on the way home.

Yep built late 1800s . Those chimneys were solid.

Thank you! I'm in North Carolina but I believe the hiking up there would be beautiful as well, and a lot flatter!!!

It gets steep in some areas I visit such as Big South Fork but nothing like western Carolina.

That big clearing at the Davis Homestead reminded me alot of the Hensley Settlement at Cumberland Gap. To answer your question about whether or not horses and hikers can coexist...yes they but only if they're nowhere near each other.lol.
