I have 2 pit mixes that I caught that were strays. The one is more traditional looking than the other. He's an all white APBT/American Bulldog mix so he's got desirable size along with pit bull look. I have gotten quite a few "hood" characters asking me if I wanted to breed him. I would look at them and say, "Absolutely not! I don't believe in bringing more pit bulls into this world when so many are in the shelter." I don't go further than that and rant and rave or nothing because I have to live in that neighborhood, but I can't say I'm exactly friendly with them either. I see types like that as the enemy of animal welfare because it's their reckless sales that put dogs in homes where about a third (being optimistic here) are neglected, abused, and/or abandoned when the chips are down. I've caught 35 dogs in 9 years in my area (majority pit bulls/mixes) to give you an idea of how bad the situation is. These are just the ones I've seen as a citizen who doesn't do dog rescue for a living, to add more details. Thank goodness my county (Dekalb of metro Atlanta) has a no-kill shelter to turn them in to. These backyard breeders are the worst enemy to this wonderful breed of dog. They're scum.

I truly understand! It's just heartbreak and I don't see how anyone can treat or cause harm to animals. She's beautiful 😍

@@sascisenior me either and every time I watch I cry wether it's a happy ending or a sad one I cry! Especially because of the emotions that they all show towards the dogs they are so passionate about what they do and I love seeing the before and after when they save a dog's life like seeing them go from being so down to looking beautiful and happy and healthy is the best

It’s not ok to abuse pets , if we let them off the hook they will just get another dog and do the same thing ! They need to be held accountable ! The make the puppies then leave them or dump them ! That’s why we all need to all help and get pets fixed especially mama dogs and mama cats ! How many more babies does this world need M we have enough in shelters and on streets !

ahhh new fear unlocked. i am semi-new to owning dogs. we've had two dogs for a year and a half. we live on an acreage. i'll have to keep an eye out and make sure they don't disturb any fire ant hills.
