They are often the sweetest pups of the litter. I may be prejudiced, because we were given a runt when I was around 8 yrs old. My aunt lived next door to a family with a new litter, and she got them to give her the runt, she said, because "he was the only one that looked like he had any sense." In fact, after we were both grown, Sis took Snoopy to live with her and her sons. Snoopy had always had a nurturing soul, and he became a Nanny to the boys, "protecting" them from the "hidden dangers" in the house, like His chew toys, and His water bowl. LOL He would drag them away by their diapers, then stand guard to keep them from the water hazard, especially. It, honestly, was a game for the boys, and I think Snoopy felt he was doing an important job, too. Anyway, after many years of love, he passed away in his sleep at thw ripe old age of 19 years. Then, we also found out that he outlived ALL of his littermates. Not bad, for a runt!!!

Our previous dog also blew up like a balloon from a bee sting. Even after the swelling went down, the rest of her life she looked similar to a Sharpei. Apparently the skin had stretched enough, it couldn't fully recover to pre bee sting. We also had to keep Benadryl on hand at all times for her, as her vet said that with a reaction that severe, she more than likely was allergic to bees and any subsequent stings could be life threatening for her. Thankfully, she lived a long healthy life until she passed away 14 years later. Hopefully this sweet pup gets the family that she deserves.

we keep Benadryl on hand here because for both insect (Bee and wasp) as well as snake bites there is nothing better to keep the swelling down while you get them to the vets. 1mg per pound of body weight, round up.

Benydrel is just the best awesome medicine that has ever been created....when my dog was stung in her paw by a wasp my husband rushed to the computer and found out we could give her Benydrel for all types of reactions.....❤❤❤❤I'm so glad clouds is better

What a little cutie! I used to work for a vet and a puppy and her mom were brought in that were both bitten by rattlesnakes. They looked like Cloud but a bit worse. We had them for quite a while until they were better. We weren’t sure they would make it.

I really appreciate people who do that kind of work because I couldn't. I think I get too emotional and seeing animals in bad shape and/or dying just kills me. When my best friend ever was dying, I took him to a vet and I saw one of the vet techs look at me and say "This is why I hate this job sometimes..." I was a total mess. Almost 12 years ago now and I still miss him so, so much. That little floofball was my heart and he was perfect.
