Hey Folks,
In this weeks video we're continuing on our Dog Mushing Basics series and this time we'll show you How to Make Your Own Lines!
Why would you make your own lines when you can buy them? We think there's a few reasons why you should make your own lines and a couple of them are that it can be cheaper plus if you're anything like us you love to make your own stuff.
And of course there's tons of different things you can make with the same technique. What would you create or what have you made with the same technique?

We're so happy to hear that Nicolai. Welcome to a world of dog butts and zero money haha! Is there any specific things you'd like us to make a video on in regards to Dog mushing/dogs? :)

@@northernsouljourneys-thelo7698 Thank you! Yea but its not so rough yet since we only got three dogs. But that still costs aswell. I would really love to see how you make a full gang line for maybe 8 or more dogs. Weather it would be wire, or what you used in this video. Allso a video on how you would make a stake out. If you use any Thank you for replying 👍

@@nicolaipedersen9551 That's great that you have three dogs, soon you'll have 12 of them haha! We've made our own stakeout that we use but not our own gangline. I know people that make their own ganglines but we really love the wire ones that we bought from Vildmannensdrag (a Swedish company that makes good dog equipment). We're planning on making a equipment video in the near future were we'll answer questions about what we use, hopefully that might help you :)

Thanks for a great video! Very well done and easy to follow. Wondering if you make musher mitt harness with the same ropes. I’ve seen a few musher with them and thought I’d like to make one. Do you have dimensions etc. thanks again for the helpful video. Enjoy your channel!

We do use mitten harnesses but they are not made with the same material. Hannah has made hers with simple paracord and I've made mine with flat webbing!

I just made my first tug line thanks to you! I'm using TW Evans 27-502 hollow core 3/8" polypropylene. My tape measure doesn't have cm so I'm also using a conversion app😂 Do you have a video on diy ganglines or the wooden connectors? Right now I'm using clips.

Hope it works anyway! We buy our ganglines since they are such a critical part of the setup. We've never made our own. The wooden connectors we made a few of them but now we buy them in bulk and they are in plastig!
