This is the best vid on youtube for teaching bounce. I had my girl doing it of a vertical wall in 2 ten minute sessions. I will say she is a super high drive, very tug toy and ball driven Malinois GSD cross so the speed at which she followed my hand really helped her to pop of the inclined boards sooner than a more laid back dog will. I also used longer boards, (about 4 feet long) which again helped as they gave her more room to gain height and make a turn . She will do it off anything now, trees walls, even a noisy roller shutter door and a 4x4" post. I can even get her to bounce off a tree up to 50 or 60 feet away from me too.

Love The Video, But Why Do You mark it with good? I Mark it with a yes, and i've never heard anyone mark it with a good, thats why I'm asking. Its quick and easy to say, in replacement of a clicker, thats why its Yes! Because its quick so you can mark it fast.

Simply, that is how I was trained, yet we no longer use good in that fashion yet the video still shows the progress and concept thus why it will stay up until we do a remake.

I use good to let my dog shes on the right lines and doing well. I save the Yess as the marker for perfect or near perfect execution. So for instance if Im doing a bit of heelwork and shes looking up at me Ill softly say a drawn out goood now and again, if she drops her head Ill say eyes to bring her head back up. After she has looked up for a decent length of time I tell her Yesss and throw her a ball.
