My parents grew up like this in a village in Greece. When they got married they continued living like this, in their little farm, with sheep and goats and chickens, and fresh eggs. Growing their own vegetables, making their own bread, and cheese and olive oil from their olive groves in Kalamata Sparta Greece. They had fresh fruit everyday from their own fruit trees and fresh olives growing in the little farm. They helped each other up until they passed away. They were married 68 years. They came to the U. S when I was 11 years old. Everyday, I wish I could live naturally like this also. Sadly, I am stuck in NYC for the rest of my life and I HATE it. The people in the video are so blessed!

I love your story. All the things you said is really true. You are a good man, husband and a father. I am a wife and a mother. I also learn to do some of my husband work to help him. I taught our daughters the same and prepared them before getting married. Same with our son, I taught him how to cook. He learn to do his laundry when he attended summer school at several universities. He is great with his laundry and cook delicious food. He graduated Validitorian from High School and also graduated from private University. He also love to plant. I grew up also from the farm. No comparison to city life. Farm life is relaxing and peaceful. Food cook on fire wood is always delicious! We rest well being on the farm. Thank you so much for your story. Please tell some more. Loving it!!

I saw immediately that this man is highly skilled with the wood axe. No wasted effort, no hurry, straight to the cut. What a honest man and how it treated the two calves with kindness brushing their hide. This shows how good a man can be when he is not driven to his last rope by a greedy society. He even gives us watcher a word of advice at the end based on his own experience, do not live far away from a community. Apparently they suffered from loneliness more than anything else.

These people are our true unsung heroes, they truly deserve to be given medals . They treat each other and all their animals with respect and eat simple meals but seem to stay very healthy. I love that they have a laugh together and call each other names in the nicest way,. He is a true gentleman and all those men down in the towns could take a leaf out of his book. He knows from his own mother how to treat his wife to get the best relationship, so good for him !! We can all learn a lot from this documentary, thanks for sharing it....

I found it very nice to see them working together to make bread. As well as to run their farm. Its a blessing to live near nature.
