@@loosenut1969 If you barely got out of there then there's no telling the details of what happen with your pet at that moment. Besides just because that's what the description says doesn't make it accurate. Sometimes people get swept away without their pets or loved ones. This is very sad to see but we don't know the details of each household. Stay safe.

Im not sure we know enough to think the owner treats them like garbage. Flash floods in poorer countries are not uncommon. If humans were away working during the flood, or told they HAD to leave the the dogs, it can be heartbreaking for a helpless poor person. They dogs look healthy and well fed. The rescues surely knew they were there, perhaps the owner asked them to look?
