Really good information. I'm glad you mentioned the vibration part. We have Portuguese water dogs. In the water the vibration alert works better. thanks.

I just purchased this type of e collar. Upgrading from 3/4 mile DT. My German shorthair runs big and I find at distances shorter than 3/4m the collar stops working

BTW, don't trim the collar, many time the antennae is in them.

Would this work on a smaller dog I have a min pin

I would not use that on a Min Pin if you do make sure you have it at a very low level where the dog is barely feels the stimulation I would go for a smaller one for a Min Pin though I use this one on my doberman pinscher it would look pretty big on a Min Pin

I paid about two hundred bucks for mine and it's bulletproof I have had it over two years no problem
