Props to spectacular spiderman for having THE BEST interpretations of every single character in the spiderman setting. Like damn, it's both loyal to the comics and expands the nature of so many characters. Flash Thompson is a good example, he's not just a musclebound goon, or a douchebag in an Audi, he's got hidden depths underneath. He loses a bet, he keeps to it, he sticks to his guns and plays fair in the football games. He's a bully, but he's got a soul.

The most notable moment that demonstrates his character is when he finds out Harry had been taking performance enhancers for football. He doesn't try to cover it up but instead reports it saying the tropy doesn't mean anything if they didn't win it fairly. This lost his team the championship title which put him at odds with his teammates.

I know right, I seriously love that they don’t treat her as a love interest or do any “will they won’t they moments” to hint towards the audience. In fact she is trying to help Peter with his Liz and Gwen situation. By not treating her as another love interest to Pete and have her be more the advice giver to Peter it really gives off the impression that she would be great for Peter eventually, once he has a stronger footing on his life.

Rewatch all of Mary Jane's scenes in Spectacular Spider-Man with the knowledge that she knows Peter is Spider-Man and a lot of their interactions hit different. One of the biggest crimes was when they couldn't continue making this show, because this was the best depiction of Spider-Man ever from any show or movie in my opinion, and when I heard all the plans for future seasons I was even more furious because of the things we could have seen but we didn't. Honestly as much as I want this show to come back and see it through to the end, I would only accept it if the whole team came back, and they didn't change the original vision for the show, but to be as it would have been if the production of the show had not stopped, although that scenario has a 10% chance to happen out of 100%.

I also liked the spider verse one. But yeah,it seems that producers are to afraid to adapted MJ as she actually is(feminine,luscious,and chill and laid back),instead they try to make her less of that and more tomboy like and loud, like the Louis Lane wannabe in Spiderman Ps4,or the MJ in mcu Spiderman, or even the MJ in Disney ultimate Spiderman. Which is a shame.

@@rachetmarvel931yeah honestly as much as I love the Sam raimi movies, I feel there version of MJ was really week and kinda spoiled everyone’s view of her. Now every time someone tries to adapt her they basically make her “I’m not like OTHER MJs” and over correct. (I honestly think her original character is very interesting and has a unique story/backstory to her that can be interesting to watch) But this is honestly one of my favorite versions of her because they don’t just have her be another love interest from the get go, instead she’s trying to help Peter through his love life which makes her come off as someone who would be perfect for Peter later on in his life once he has more things figured out
