Girl I'm 55 yrs old and from the time I was very very young I was so in love with Barry and Andy Gibb. Two of the best looking men on the planet. I can't wait until you see a photo of Andy with a beard he looks just like Barry. They use to kid that Robin and Maurice were twins and that Barry and Andy were twins just born at different times. Because Andy can also sound like Barry...Andy was 30 yrs old when he passed. They had just announced that he was joining the Bee Gees. It was so sad!! All the captions you had during the song like how sweet and humble he seemed was spot on. And he truly was. That gentle sweet wat you saw about him is for real. Andy was extremely shy. He was always smiling and making people feel so good. Well actually all 4 of them are like that. Alot of people think because they were all so fine they had all the women. And they could have but didn't. Barry has been with his wife over 50 yrs. Andy only had a couple relationships. The other 2 were married a couple of times each(I think) but you never heard of any scummy crap about any of them.

His voice sounded Similar to his brother's , but different at the same time if that makes any sense ? Definitely had his own thing going on . I love the Disco Vibes from around that time , like you said Mia!! This is the first real proper listen to Andy Gibb that I've had ... Can safely say all the brothers were extremely talented . Another great one from you Mia , Thank You!!!

Love it! Can you hear his wonderful brothers singing in the background? And the songwriters were - Barry, Robin & Maurice Gibb; Andy Gibb! There was way too much talent in one family. God created musical geniuses!

One afternoon they wrote Too Much Heaven, Tragedy and that evening wrote Shadow Dancing. All three were number one. Not a bad day's work at all. The Gibb Brothers are amazing.

He was beautiful and so talented. Lost him far too early but glad another generation knows him.

Andy Gibb would've joined his brothers but at the time Andy's voice had not yet matured to complement with his brother's voices. While the Bee Gees were dominating the charts at the time this song was released, Andy's song hit Number 1 in 1978 with his brother Barry singing backup. In the late 80s, the Bee Gees were planning on touring but this time around with Andy. Unfortunately, Andy passed away before anything could happen. It would've been very nice to see the foursome touring together..

His other good songs are “I just want to be your everything.” And “Everlasting Love.” He died too young. Love your reactions ❤️

He looks most like Barry & he sounds like his brothers, but had his own style. They always sang backup for him, as you could hear & wrote all his music with him. He helped on their music as well. The Gibbs genes are strong. So sad that they are all gone, except for Barry. What a gift it is to be able to enjoy their music forever. Check out Andy's 'I just wanna be your everything'. Another favorite. He also has a great duet with Olivia Newton John called 'Rest your love on me'.

I was lucky enough to see Andy GibbLuve when I was 9 with my Best Friend. Fourth row center stood on our seats and screamed our heads off along with every other girl there. My Parents tools us and I wore my satin Blue jacket and he wore his satin red jacket . It was just like this he danced and was even more animated and the crowd was wild . It was 1977 in Iconcord California . I was obsessed with him and begged my parents . My friend Brownlee and I stayed up all night playing his records freaking out after the concert we were so exhilarated at 9 years old . We were in the 4 th grade . He died not too long after this. It was devastating.

Shadow Dancing was a big album in the summer of 1978. Andy is one of those artists that I only need to hear one or two bars of and boom, I'm right back in jr. high school, and every memory comes back more vividly and more clearly than any photo or home movie could ever evoke. It's kind of a shame that he was kind of overshadowed by his brothers. Everyone thought they were the talent and he stood on their shoulders, but if you check out songs like Waiting For You, Melody, Flowing Rivers, the songs he wrote on his own without his brothers' help, they stand up just as well.

Andy looked so much like Barry when he was younger. I always called him Barry's Mini-Me. Lol. I had his posters on the walk next to posters of his brothers. My walls were plastered with posters. Elvis, Bobby Sherman, Donny Osmond, David Cassidy, Shaun Cassidy, Ricky Nelson, The Bee Gees, Andi Gibb, Davy Jones of The Monkees. That was just the musicians. Actors the prominent ones wer Christopher Reeve, Tom Selleck, Sam Elliott, Barry Williams, Eric Estrada, Christopher Knight, Randolph Mantooth, Kent McCord and John Wayne.

😁 Yes, he was a huge sex symbol for women/girls when he was at his most popular. You would’ve been right there with millions of like minded girls back then. I was in the 5th grade when this came out. ALL the girls around our schools loved this talented guy. Many dudes were jealous and talked bad about bim(not surprising). I didn’t care….whatever moves me is what I like(and, yes…I got cracks for it too🤷🏽‍♂️😁) Good catch on The Bee Gees backing him. They did on several of his tunes. He was the youngest of the four so he was smart to emulate what the three brothers did that was successful. I still think his life story was one of the saddest. And, I know his is not the only one in music and Hollywood…..but, being young it really it me because he was one of first few in my generation of listeners that lost someone we looked up to because of their artistic greatness. Andy Gibb is my favorite of the brothers Gibb Andy was very talented in his own right. He was oh so sexyyy. Sadly he passed away at 30 yrs old.😭 i will love and miss him always, he was a solo artist no one can take anything away from him. crushed on him when i was a teenager still love him.
