Don & Jeff are playing and singing live in this TV studio, it's a bad audio/video sync from this Japanese television network, who weren't used to producing live audio back in 1997. Almost any other musical act would've been made to lip~sync to a backing track in these situations but being as DOKKEN is so popular in Japan, they get to do a live performance. Remember, it was too the point, that there was literally DOKKEN~MANIA, back in the late 1980s & early 1990s, in all the major Japanese cities. When they sold one million units in the US, for a Platinum sales level, they'd sell three million units of the same release in Japan. TOOTH & NAIL: Platinum, UNDER LOCK & KEY: Platinum, BACK FOR THE ATTACK: Platinum, BEAST FROM THE EAST (Live): GOLD, DYSFUNCTIONAL: GOLD.

It has some gems like this song and I think that's it the record was written mostly by Lynch who's sole purpose was to kill the band...
@MrStudGuy6 жыл бұрын
Philip Karovski I’ve heard this rumor before and it’s total fiction. This was a collective effort. Love it or hate, Lynch was not responsible for its failures. This was the peak of the grunge era and the band was trying to reinvent their sound and image.

Don Dokken has fallen from glory over the decades & has put in some pretty cringe worthy performances over the years, but this sounds more like the Don Dokken I remember. Not sure how much FX are helping him along though (I hope they aren't lip synching like EVERYONE else!)...and what's up with the Roy Orbison shades? Did Lynch punch him in the eye? Or maybe Pilson did right before they took the stage. -lol
