The video isn't in Dolby Vision. It is only played back in HDR10.

Are you sure that it's HDR10 and not HLG? I do get some kind of HDR when playing with the KZfaq app on my Panasonic TV, but I don't know how to display which standard is being used. All I know for sure is that it's not Dolby Vision, because that's always displayed. However, if played with the Nvidia Shield I don't get any HDR at all. The main difference between the two is that the Panasonic app supports HDR, and the Nvidia app does not. Also, I don't get Atmos sound, only Dolby Digital 5.1.

@@Yngvarfo it's HDR10. HLG is the HDR standard for tv broadcasting only and it's much more compressed. I've played this video on my Sony A90j OLED TV in addition with the Sony STR-DN1080 Dolby Atmos av Receiver. The TV clearly detects the HDR10 format and the receiver only decodes Dolby 5.1, just like yours. I think that's all KZfaq supports. I'm pretty sure that HDR formats with dynamic metadata like Dolby Vision and HDR10+ are not possible on KZfaq at all. Then the uploader should not write these formats in the video title. But since the majority of people don't know what that means, nor are they able to display these formats and decode the audio, no one seems to care except the two of us.

@@florianj6490 - If you say so. I understand that metadata would be a problem for live streaming, but why other videos? Even HDR10 has one set of static metadata for the whole video, which I would assume would be a problem for live streams where you can't know the optimal settings from the beginning. Anyway, the Nvidea Shield plays both HDR10 and Dolby Vision fine with apps like Netflix and Disney+, so I don't see why it can't play HDR10 in KZfaq videos.

@@Yngvarfo On my buddy's LG, the KZfaq app can neither support 5.1 nor HDR10. The app is simply poorly optimized or on an older version. With sony TVs I never had a problem with it. Any new features were quickly integrated. But this is not the case with every manufacturer. Maybe there are licensing problems on the Nvidia Shield as well.

Yes but the original is in Dolby vision. I downloaded it on Patreon plus the mix in Atmos. Did you bother reading the description? All the links are there. It's like you're telling me my Samsung TV plays only hdr10 but Netflix says the movie is in Dolby vision. Also my Sony receiver decodes it in Dolby Atmos.

No, It is HDR. Your Display doesn't support HDR content bro that's why you are getting weird lighting effects in some scenes
