The true test of how good a band is: If they sound as good live as they do in the official tracks (without lip syncing) In my opinion, these ladies sound BETTER live! The energy is way up there, they're tight musically, and those vocals are off the chart!

I literally only clicked this video to see if Fuki could hit that note in real time. I’m absolutely blown away. DOLL$BOXX are absolutely incredible, all 5 of them are so damn talented, I wish this wasn’t a side project, I’d love to see them live

See them live as they are here, I mean. Like, performing AS DOLL$BOXX

Over here in the western part of the US, there's kind of an "RX Bandits" standard, which is "are they as good live as they are on the album, and on the level of RX Bandits?" It's sort of the hipster skill check for being good live, and while it's not a knock on the Bandits, these ladies are all better than they've ever been. Band Maid, Bridear, Doll$Boxx, Gacharic Spin, it's incredible how perfect they are live. Almost wish I had a daughter that I could show these bands to, and have her look up to. Guess my dog will have to do, she's been enjoying these songs as much as me.

When Fuki winds up for the last high part of the chorus - extreme goosebumps - this song sounds so amazing live - they really nail it!!

Indeed! And she does it several times. Her pitch is spot on.
They are severely underappreciated. They need more world recognition. This is seriously one of the best rock bands since the late 90's.

Totally agree! I put them up there with BAND-MAID, LOVEBITES, Stereopony, Aldious, Yousei Teikoku, Mary's Blood and so many more. They need more rek for sure!

Indeed! I've been a Rush fan since 1980, and DOLL$BOXX is one of the few bands I've discovered since then who blew me away with their musicianship the same way Rush did when I first heard them.

While I agree, the sad truth is that this band is just a side project for both the lead singer and the band. They have their own careers and as such Doll$Boxx will never be more than two awesome albums we can cherish.

Most people tend not to want to listen to music sung in languages they don’t speak/understand. I’ve run into that excuse a lot when trying to turn fellow old metal heads on to Japanese bands. We’re the minority in appreciating this stuff.

Think about it, Gacharic Spin member usually jumping around the stage like maniac and their playing still clean and spot on,... And now as Doll$boxx, with Fuki commanding the stage and practically reduce the need for other member to jumping and running around they can concentrated more on their instruments and the results is even more outstanding,... i'm not diminishing other Japanese all female bands because I love all of them from the pop-rock like Scandal, Peggies, or Silent Siren to the ass kicking hard rock/metal like Band Maid, Mary'sblood, Aldious, or Lovebites But in terms of unique melody/groove, versatility, and unpredictability i dare to say no one beat Gacharic Spin except for Doll$boxx,...

Most Japanese bands don't live in the studio for months on end like western acts, so their recorded stuff is usually released when it's "good enough." They fine-tune their music on the road and later live performances always end up sounding better than the original recordings.
@ajoymercury3 жыл бұрын
I'm so amazed by Fuki-sama . Just started to listen to her in Dollsbox (I've listened to a lot of Unlucky Morpheus). But at first i was quite confused because her character has so much contrast and different compared to when she performed live with ankimo. In ankimo live show she looks like an innocent and shy girl when speaking in between songs, but here she looks like a real bad ass , dominant and conquering hot goss lady . When I first saw this I was really confused is this the same Fuki 😅

This is such a great video! It is weird to me that the crowd just kinda goes, "yay..." (Almost like the actual music video) Is that a cultural thing at Japanese rock shows? Maybe the audience doesn't get too loud on purpose so that everyone can hear the music clearly? If I was there I would wanna be making some more noise... Does anyone know what Fuki is saying before the song? And just before Hana does the first scream, what does she say? It's not... "Koga!" is it? By the way, with respect, Hana is my favorite.
