Meet Veronica McKee. 88yrs young. 1 of 16 brothers and sisters. Mother of two. Grandma to 5. Great grandma to 3.
Veronica lives with a condition called alzheimer's disease, a form of dementia.
Over the months I've read about doll therapy in USA and how it helps people with dementia.
My grandma often sees me still as a young girl / baby. - she is such a caring grandma and we thought to give this a go with her. We have nothing to loose. I will try anything to see her happy and keep her calm.
Grandma may have dementia but this baby doll works wonders,

women can forget about the world but they cannot forget about being a mother...this brought me to tears.

Please change that to some women ….. just because a woman can produce babies does not make her a mother ….. mine was a monster who tortured and starved her children. However it is clear by this ladies tenderness, that even in her dementia, she was and still is a true nurturing caring loving mum

My grandma has had Alzheimer's for 12 years and I remember how this used to help her so much too. When she held it up and said 'Is that a smile?' my heart just melted. Best to you and yours.

Considering the way she holds the "baby" at 1:05, it's probably best that it's a doll. She certainly looks happy and focused though, great therapy!

Hi there. I got mine Argos £38. It is sold At other places too. They are called baby annabelle. If your in the states. Maybe wal mart or Amazon.
