Same, because my first initial thought when Brahms first burst through the wall after the doll was smashed was because he liked Greta and saw she was in danger from her ex. Then, you know, the rest happened 😅

I remember seeing this in theaters in high school with my dad and my friend. The whole way through, we were all laughing at the jumpscares thinking it was another paranormal doll movie...But when Brahms climbed out of the wall my friend and I were so genuinely disturbed. For all the critiques this film gets, I still think that's one of the most well done twists. Nobody expected it, and the actors of course were beyond phenomenal! The actor who played adult Brahms needs...so many awards. He was so disturbingly creepy and horrifying. And Cole too...Very very realistic portrayal of a narcissistic controlling abuser. Obviously Lauran is sheer perfection in whatever she does lol, but the entire cast was amazing, especially for there only being six characters (plus the voice we hear Greta talking to over the phone and the driver.)

@thefluffyaj41198 ай бұрын
right? am I the only one who thought brahms is the way he is because of his parents horrible raising? making him live in the walls, seemingly either a detrimental lack of discipline or making him live life like a child. because a man does not turn out like that for no reason. the parents have a big responsibility in this, it seems like they babies their son, never told him no, and never let him grow up and learn. i don't know how much I can fault brahms when he's been completly isolated all his life and never taught how to be a good adult grown person

The castle where this movie was filmed at is only a few minutes from my house. In reality, not only is it not in England, but rather Victoria, Canada on Vancouver Island; it's also not in the middle of nowhere, but actually in the middle of the city. It's also bit smaller than some of the wide shots would make you believe. Still huge and you have to turn your neck up completely in order to get a clear view of the top, but nevertheless smaller than the movie suggests. And as usual: A terrific reaction, Alanda! You really are the best reaction channel on KZfaq!

Interesting facts about The Boy (2016) Lauren Cohan played an American nanny traveling to the United Kingdom for her job as a babysitter in the film. Ironically, while Cohan is an American-born citizen, she has had an English accent since she spent her adolescence in England. She hides her accent in this film. (2) The main plot is the same in the short film Familia colateral (2007). In both films, a babysitter accepts taking care of a toy to get paid, and strange things begin to happen. (3) The film was originally titled "In a Dark Place" and had Jane Levy in the lead role. (4) Cast members actually used the doll ("Brahms") to prank each other on the set. On one occasion, one of the cast members propped the doll up outside of the other actor's bathroom in their trailer to scare them. Upon seeing this, they hurled the doll outside of their trailer and the crew had to repair it and make a replacement doll.
