I prefer Liv dolls . The wigs , clothes, accessories & face molds are way better. I don't hate Snapstar dolls , I'm glad their bringing the dolls with wigs & inset eyes concept back but the quality isn't up to par yet, maybe the next snapstar line will be better.

I love Liv dolls and was gutted when they stopped the line. These look like Liv Little Sisters :D I think I would prefer them if they had slightly longer torsos, as the proportions are a bit off. Saying that I've not seen one IRL yet. I love the fashion packs though - can you show those on your next video please? Maybe being worn by a Liv as well as the Snapstar? I can't find these dolls online in any UK store so going back to have a look on eBay. I had a superquick look earlier and the ones I found were going for £16 ($21) so unless can find them cheaper I'll have to wait for a bit and see if they pop up elsewhere.

Totally agree with your thoughts! I thought they reminded me of Shibajuku dolls... and artwork on the packaging reminded me of Disney Star Darlings! They have much more of a kawaii flair compared to Liv.

I saw those Snapstars in person today. Wow, I didn't like those at all. If their bodies had been more proportionate to their heads like the Liv dolls, they would have been better. A couple of them had wonky eyes, too (eyes pointing different directions). Not a fan, although yours did look better with the Liv wig. I also saw the new Off The Hook dolls, too, and those are super cute.

If they put more work into the makeup (like eyelashes) and put a little bit bit more work into the Whigs and add some hair to hide the wig cap plastic area. think they would pretty perfect and I think they're doing an amazing job especially with the price point.

The snapstar looks very cute with the liv wig.

I just like the fact that they are jointed. I wish all barbies were like that. The snap stars do seem like a cheaper doll. But they could be good for OOAK dolls.

They are both so beautiful, but if i had to choose, I'd definiteley say Liv because of how high quality they are. I really want to pick up the Yuki and Lola Snapstars because I just LOVE their outfits/styles and they'd look so cute next to my Liv Katie. :) Awesome video! I can't wait to find out who wins! (^_^)

I love the liv dolls and of course if those were still around then these new dolls would have some stiff competition but since they aren’t I gotta say I love the new dolls they are really great I hope to see improvements in the future but I’ll be buying them all :)

I have Yuki and Echo and they are really pretty ..but Yuki is the better one as her clothes and wig fits better imo.. and her bangs do hide the flaw with the scalp issues..

The faces are the problem! I agree hair helps a routine doll look great (why Hairdorables is somewhat interesting) but when Mattel Fashionista head designs change I get more interested to buy another doll. Buying Disney (for all different princess heads) and other Hasbro-like (but definitely not Mattel) adds some spice to dolls! Wigs added to bald ? face designs are not pretty enough! Things to notice also are hopefully "non Disney" nose dimensions that make these close to appealing!

No comparison really..you're comparing much better quality/size dolls from the earlier years to current products. (we all agree older dolls were made better across the board from American Girl down to Barbie) The smaller SNAPSTAR dolls can wear the Ku Ku Harajuku fashion packs fantastically!!! (they can be found on clearance still on Walmart.com or Target.com can't remember which!) Love the wigs from Liv dolls on the SANPSTAR, maybe YULU can improve on wigs for another option besides the current fashion packs offered. Love them both for different reasons! :) Great video by the way, like that you switched wigs etc.

I got a Dawn Snapstar doll at walmart on sale for $7 and it's so worth it. For such an articulated doll at that price, it's a rare find. I also love how the snapstar dolls have a wide range of skin tones and hair textures in their lineup. Dawn's hair is amazing! The wig cap isn't great, but the curls are sooo good. I've never had a Liv doll so I can't compare, but I really love the snapstar I have!!

I don't collect either, although the idea of being able to change wigs is cool.

My first liv doll I ever got was from a thrift store she didn’t have a wig but I liked her with the short hair they did a good job on that tbh it looks natural I like my dolls to have long hair ^^ she was fun to play with and their eyes Oml I loved their eyes

I will probably pick up Yuki. Her bangs also hide any issues with the front of her scalp being exposed. Also, I like pale black haired dolls in general. Yet, I like how Liv dolls are more realistic in proportion and have better articulation.

I absolutely LOVE the liv dolls! Always have, always will. But the snapstars look like they could be used as the liv's little sisters. (trying to look like their older sisters but don't quite know how to do their make-up yet.) I agree with the fact that snapstars look like cheaper knock offs of livs. In fact, when i first saw them, i wasn't planning on getting them. but then i watched a review video by my froggy stuff and she compared liv, snapstar and bratz. Turns out the snapstars are actually useful to me as they can share wigs with liv and clothes and bodies with bratz. I actually just bought 2 of the snapstar dolls at my walmart on clearance just for that purpose. I got yuki mainly for her clothes and lola for her colorful hair. I wish i'd been able to get aspen (for clothes) and echo.(for hair) If they decide to do a second wave, i hope they up the quality. They have the potential to be great dolls. Or livs could just come back!!😍😍😍

I've found that Kuu Kuu Harajuku clothes fit Stapstar dolls pretty well. So congrats to everyone (like me) who bought all those Kuu Kuu fashion packs a couple of years ago, but only one doll!

Love and miss the Liv dolls! I have several in my collection. Wish I could find more Liv clothes. The Snapstars are okay but aren't as nice.

I see potential in this line, and this was a pretty good first attempt. It seems like they are trying to fill the void left by Liv and Moxie Teenz, since wigged play dolls are a good idea that kids do enjoy, it seems. However, they don't seem to stack up to Liv quality.

Liv Dolls will always be my favorite.

I do prefer the Liv dolls since their taller, and have better quality wigs and faces. But I still can't wait to at least get a Lola and Yuki snapstar doll because by mid-late 2010's doll quality standards they are actually pretty good; I mean they have more joins then Barbie fashionistas and are bring back inset eyes and wigs into playline dolls. Hopefully snapstars doll do work out and maybe become better quality over time as the brand gets bigger.

J'adore Liv. Yes i went french to try and express my love. If the Snapstar makeup wasn't so Jojo Siwa trash, i would get one. Cause other then that it ticks all my boxes, fab articulation, completely removable clothes, no painted on nonsense, inset eyes and wigs are always huge plus's.

I love the Liv dolls just from watching you talk about them. I remember seeing them in stores but just never picked one up. When you reviewed these snapstar I went looking and found that I really only liked Yuki with her dark punk rocker look. The other styles just didn't appeal to me. With that being said Liv definitely wins for the outfit/wig variety

I miss the liv dolls. I remember finding one at the thrift store and thinking why does it have a hole in its head and saw it at Walmart later on with the wig and fashion pavks and I wanted to collect more. I also thought that they looked better without the wig and could have different hats like mr potato head does. Its amazing. I wouldn't mind the new dolls but the body makes them too chibi looking and the stand clicking into the body of the snapstar makes a gaping hole in the body if you wanted to change the clothes to say a bathing suit or bikini you have this gaping hole in thier bodies. They could have done a clear wrap around stand.

I own both a LIV doll and a #SNAPSTAR doll, and while I like both of them a lot I think my LIV doll ekes out the #SNAPSTAR doll in a few crucial ways. Daniela's hair and clothes are of higher quality than Dawn's, and her body is sturdier. There are good things to be said about Dawn and her #SNAPSTAR sisters, though.

I've never purchased a Liv doll and don't plan on it, but am highly interested in the Yulu doll. Yes, the Liv seems way better quality, but I also think they give off that 'creepy' vibe, and look too realistic (which I don't care for in a doll). The yulu has more doll-like innocence. Now, if we could up the quality of the wigs and clothing - all the better.

I love them both I never got into Liv dolls until to dismiss entry I write stories about them and take pictures and post them I'm very observant kind of person I like to see things as a right and I kind of felt bad that I never got into him when it first came out cuz they're really poseable very nice beautiful eyes that's what gets me is he eyes that's why I like using them instead of Barbie but when I seen this review I think clawdeena9 whatever his name is is they look just like the live dolls to me exactly like them so I went and I thought all for the other one and I'm waiting for the release so I love them both hey I called them liv next generation I New generation I even wrote in the story that my favorite liv all had two twins and their use those for the daughters also I learned from my froggy stuff love that channel also that if you put the wig of the livs for the snap Stars you come over their ears and it fits just fine cuz it's a deeper wig so you can change them and Lola is my favorite but her ankle broke last night so I can just pop her like off and put a new one in

sorry this is my last one of a safety I promise I think I put glue in it because I'm tired of the wig shedding so much and also made a tighter on their heads and if it's on the lives still so maybe just an idea

I honestly think these dolls are made with the same mold. Plus they are kinda ugly. There's plenty of ideas for dolls honestly but they be coming up with recycled dolls !!. I wish I worked with a dolls company. I can come up with better ideas

I was disappointed when I saw the SnapStars in 'real life'. The drawn artwork for them was beautiful, but the actual dolls turns out looking just...off. Liv Dolls were so high quality and to me the SnapStars just look like cheap rip-off versions. It's a shame bc when the Snap Stars were initially announced I was hoping they'd be good, but they just look cheap and nasty.

Snapstar dolls look like knock-offs, probably the ugliest dolls I have ever seen in my life. I don't even know what's the hype about them, this shows how horrible the doll market is because I feel like we are almost like ''thirsty'' for something new, that is probably the main reason why there's so much talk about this dolls. If they were launched a few years ago I believe we would all say straight up ''UGLY'' because that's what they are. The heads don't match their body and the overall lack of quality is visible and now confirmed after seeing your review. Thank god for Bratz and what remains of LivDolls. I still have mine and I'll always love them!
