A few years ago I bought their wire wastebaskets, which I turned upside down and pinned to the ground over a small plant. It was just like a chicken wire cloche and kept out the rabbits etc.

Buy two laundry baskets. Invert one, cover with weed blocking cloth, place the other one inverted over that (align the basket holes), flip back over, trim excess, fill with potting soil. You just made an Air pot.

I thought somebody pranked him 😂 We have an issue with cats where I live cuz neighbors keep feeding them so I haven’t been able to plant anything in my beds 😡 I’m definitely trying this weekend ❤

Tip: get to DT very early like late January/February and this is when to find the best DT gardening stuff. The plastic hair claw clamps are awesome to clip tomato and pepper stalks to stakes and great also to clamp netting. Recycle plastic parmesan cheese containers to sprinkle powders onto the plants. They also fit on Mason jars!!

Great ideas. The closest Dollar Tree is a hour drive away, but still, if I have something out that way to do, I'll pop in. To keep your jute dry, find a jar it fits inside and put a hole in the lid the size of your string. Then you can pull out what you need and if it gets left out in the rain, most of it will stay dry. @@TheKitchenGarten Great video! Those mason jar shakers are a great idea to use & will be the next time I do pest control. Course ground Cornmeal is good for ants to. They take it back to the colony & eat it. Food grade Diatomaceous Earth is the safest & I use it for ticks in a 4x4ft area that’s infested with them where my neighbor planted with those feathery plume plants.. Within a few days .. all gone

Hi I love inventive ideas. Question are you using the earth directly on the plastic laundry basket. Not all plastics are safe for growing food in, You need to check the bottom for a #5 which is safe and won't leach toxic plastic into your food. I will try the tall trash cans which are a number 5 for potatoes, carrots, because it is deep for root veggies. Also I made several raised veggie beds by using the large 92 litre storage bins. I built a wood square box around 8 at a time to protect the tubs from the sun, as it will break down over time. I even put a small edge lip around it so you can sit and weed if needed. Please check plastic to make sure it is safe to grow food in, flowers don't matter as much. Good luck Thanks for your tips.

Is it food safe plastic? Many plastics are not and are toxic. I would be careful shopping at dollar store when it comes to plastics.Diatomaceous earth is great and is non toxic. I also like Neeme oil and Thuricide.
