Very nice. Love the spin on the theme and the vintage pieces. What a nice setting to enjoy a nice meal with your family. Your daughters are really getting a fine education on etiquette and entertaining. I love it because that has become a lost art. Kudos to you!

Thanks! Girlfriend, I just loooove incorporating a little of the past into my tablescapes. I think my girls will appreciate the education that they are getting once they leave the nest. Right now, they absolutely hate when they see me pull out the dishes because they don't like washing them...lol. However, my oldest is now a senior in college, and when she got her first apartment she admitted that she was turning into me. She said, "Mom, I know I am turning into you because when I went into the Dollar Tree I actually had fun going down the dishes aisle. I want to set a nice tablescape in my apartment".

Thanks! I love silver. It is very rare that I get to pull it out in large quantities to set the table, but when I do it is always a treat. I have a soft spot in my heart for vintage entertaining pieces. Glad you enjoyed the video.

I have always had a soft spot for silver and I love watching your videos and being educated on the different pieces that you have 😄 it's so exciting learning about these things from my childhood, back then I was very young and not really concerned about setting a formal table, but I did appreciate seeing it all set up..😆I get giggly every time I see a notification from your channel.

Oh yes, silver just makes my heart sing. I don't get to pull it out often (unless I am making a 'tray'ble scape for myself during my quali'tea' time) because entertaining is more relaxed and casual these days. I always try to incorporate a little special piece into all of my designs, but when I can bring out several pieces I get excited. My girls are the same way. They hate to see me pulling out all of my dishes, but when the table is finally set they do appreciate it. It warms my heart to know that you get giggly every time you see a notification button.

@@verikeri2849 thank you for teaching.. your videos have brought up so many memories, passions and stories (that I now share with my kids) from our family's past, that would have otherwise been left dormant and lost forever (since my mother and great grandmother aren't here to tell the stories, it's up me now).. Quick example.. My mom had this thing that I thought was just a strange metal hair pick, and after one of your videos and doing a little research because I was in total shock, I remember thinking "is she serious.That's for your hair".. lol.. but, I found that it was in fact a cake cutter/server🤯.. for that I will ALWAYS respect💖 you for sharing your knowledge.. most people don't have access to this wealth of information that you are sharing 💋😊

That story had me laughing out loud. You know the first time I saw one in an antique shop I thought it was something you used for your hair as well 😄So glad to hear that you are able to pass stories down to your children. It is so important. My kids loooooooooved hearing stories from my childhood. I remember it was a ritual every single night when they were little. I would tuck them into bed and they would without fail say "Mom could you tell me a story about when you were little". I was afraid that I would run out of stories to tell. But somehow, no matter how big or small I was able to come up with something. It warms my heart to know that you are telling generational stories to your kids. Take care :)

Hi Keri. This is absolutely beautiful with the pops of pink. You create such lovely tablescapes and are so thoughtful in regards to being budget-friendly for those who want to create similar settings and not break the bank. Love your vintage pieces as well. After last video, with the Bossa Nova music, you surprised us with the very proper British themed music! I love this recently-released lemon dinnerware, and have purchased the plates (both sizes) and the bowls to use piecemeal with my beaded edge white service. You're right about it having a vintage feel, and I intend to mix in some of my late mother's milk glass. I liked your idea of a honey and bee accent (i have a golden glass honey pot with metal lid and bee finial) that I'll add to the table. Thanks for more great ideas, Keri. I like the way you mixed pink and yellow flowers, too!

Now you know I had to switch the music up. I was feeling like a fancy queen when I was shining my silver and getting the table ready😂😂😂Oh I think those plates would look great with the bead edge white dinnerware. Oh that gold glass honey pot with the metal lid and bee finial sounds gorgeous. I have a weakness for bees. I did a bee themed tablescape last year for Mother's Day. Glad you enjoyed the video.

Hey Keri! Sorry I've been at church camp but I just watched all of your videos from the past week! But I just got back from Dollar tree and Walmart and I found some great deals! I found a bigger bag of mini stroopwaffles for a dollar! Bigger then the regular size, it was an amazing deal and I'm so excited to try them. :)

Gorgeous. I saw the lemon dishes at $1.00 Tree and didnt get them at the time. When I went back they were gone 😢.Tfs ❤ Rhonda

Thanks! Yeah, those lemon dishes will disappear faster than you can blink. They had just finished stocking the display shelf when I discovered them in my DT. By the next day every single bowl and plate were gone. They had a few of the glasses/mugs left. Maybe they will bring them back again next year. I plan on incorporating a yearly summer lemon themed tablescape now that I have these in my collection.

Thumbs up. I would add a little of the moss around the silver flower vase on the dining table to repeat it with the moss directly behind it on the other server or maybe put a few pink flowers around the same area to carry the pink across the table. But still, love your video. Thanks.

If you like sunflowers I think they are fine to purchase. I am not a fan of sunflowers, that is why I haven't purchased them.

This is a beautiful setting but wouldn't room temperature butter be better than ice-cold butter? The RT butter would be so much easier to spread and the bread won't get teared up. Just a suggestion...

Thanks! That is a great question. I like room temperature butter as well. I was demonstrating how the piece was used back in that era. If you think back to that era, refrigerators and air conditioning did not exist. The cooking quarters were often not close to the dining area. So, when the staff were prepared the dinner table, they put the ice in the bottom to keep it from melting too soon. By the time the family and their guests sat down for a meal, the ice would have melted and the butter would have reached room temperature. As you can see in my video, by the time I shared how the butter dish was used all of the ice had melted, that was about 30 minutes into recording the video. The butter was slightly above room temperature then and it was easily spreadable. I hope this answers your question :)
