So nice, I watched it twice. I love the Edward Scissorhands meets Steampunk design of your table! The screw handles and legs are brilliant. 👏 And I learned this table makes a great coffee table, too.

At first I was thinking.. steampunk- .hmmm, ... I don't know....But I think it turned out cool! Great, imaginative thinking!

Steampunk is such a creative genre that pulls from such fun concepts, you can go nuts coming up with machines that do fun things!

I promise you when I saw the legs split, That looks exactly like something i would do! So the Wood split but i just keep going too! I LOVE THIS! Excellent idea using screws as metal legs! This was GREAT!!!

I’m often impatient and that is the reason for mistakes like this…lol…but I felt like others like you and I would relate this moment and get it! Mistakes can be both learning experience and happy accidents!

I was really channeling Will Smiths Wild Wild West movie for that vanity! It allowed me to think is a different creative way which I really enjoyed!

@@WhitneyLaBrieWhitney, thanks for responding to my comments. I appreciate it a lot! Do you have any suggestions of where I could get some inexpensive wooden doll furniture? I have not had any success scouring thrift stores and I am not in the habit of ordering online. I don't mind having to paint it or fix it up.

Ahhh I added to this same table from the dollar store…not as elaborate as yours though…bummed the drawers don’t work but oh well!!

Isn't that crazy how different it can look from one person to the next. It was fun to incorporate all those odds and ends and use up items just laying around.

@@WhitneyLaBrie my mini group use to take room boxes and similar themes and than display them side by side. It was cool how different and creative they were. We don’t meet as often and the group has unfortunately shrunk in size. Of course I am so busy my creative side takes a back seat but I love seeing everyone else’s creative side😊

@@lizcockrum9413 you know I was looking into clubs in my area to join. Seems the groups have shrunk in size. Maybe I could start my own group where I live, I think it would be fun, inspiring and another way to learn more.

The plastic doo-dads that you've made the arms with are the bits that fix the hooks etc on peg boards.

I knew eventually someone would know what they were! I also used them when I made a miniature claw machine! They worked out great!

Well shame on me....at first when you mentioned keeping the zip ties I made a skeptical face, but it took seeing the paint on them to realize your vision, they did add to it! Girl, I shouldn't have doubted you!!

Always drill a pilot hole first before putting in a big screw to avoid splintering wood. Looks like that screw is too wide diameter for that table leg anyway

yes I was impatient..I think its good to show mistakes sometimes in these videos and how you can still move forward when you mess up. :)

correctly sized PILOT HOLES will stop the cracking.

yeah I think I mention that. I almost took that part out where I make that dumb mistake, but I think sometimes it is good to show that even when you have done this hobby for long periods of time, you can still make mistake, take short cuts and potentially ruin a piece!
