I have these same metal nesting boxes. Originally these have a plastic grass mat in them. My mats are still ok for now but I plan on getting some of the fake grass carpet from the dollar store when I need to replace them rather than order more because they are not cheap.

They're crazy expensive. So far this is working really well and the girls love it! Our dollar tree never has grass mats but I'll be on the lookout for those!
