My thought about this is if it isn’t $1.25 I’m not buying it. But I also don’t like it that you have to watch the prices now. So going to that store will be limited. But nice walkthrough. Those k-cups were Harry and David. Gourmet. High end.

Knowing all stores do this kinda makes your comment either snobbish or rude I’m not sure…do you feel like that about other stores? Or does a price increase just floor you? I mean everything has gone up in price… lol

@@countycalling uh them raising their base price up to 1.25 was the "price increase" that was meant to account for inflation... Them selling $5+ items is a change of their entire business model. Not sure why you're taking personal offense at somebody shopping less at a store that has drastically changed their business model? Are you personally invested in Dollar Tree stocks?

Harry & David is a gourmet food item company. They are based out of Medford, Oregon. They have a catalog and sell gourmet food gift baskets that are pricey. They also do fruit of the month subscriptions. I love their coffee.

It’s great to see cruelty free products at Dollar Tree! The prices are crazy. I use Hello toothpaste and now it’s only 29 cents more at Target than it is at DT! Same with the Folgers classic roast is only 29 cents less than at Target, too. Same for the coffee mate powder - a 59 cent difference. I order the coffee and creamer on drive up at Target for my grandma (except she buys decaf, so I’m familiar with their prices. After discounts, these products are occasionally less than at DT with their new prices. I’m always unsure of knock off hair products. When I buy Saltair or Raw Sugar shampoo and conditioner at Target or Walmart, I know I’m getting a product that is healthy for my hair. Now that DT’s competition is $5, spending a little more for a tried-and-true product makes total sense to me. Thank you for preparing everyone for the changes at DT! That is so helpful with these new prices! God bless! 😊

Harry & David coffee is not a generic brand - they sell fruits, jams, nuts, etc. in gift boxes. That said - this was such a great walkthrough! Thank you for taking us with you!

If the stores were larger I wouldn’t mind the higher priced items. Instead I feel like there’s a lot less room for the $1.25 items. I feel like the 99 Only stores are a better deal.

Exactly! The $1.25 stuff is going to be less and less. Before, you could find just about anything you needed for $1.25, but have a feeling that’s going to change. If I wanted to spend $3-6 on stuff I can just go to Family Dollar. Seems like they will end up combining them down the road.

Wow. Your store has a lot of name brand stuff. What I have done since we have had a dollar tree plus at my store here in Fort Worth for quite a while, I walk through with my Walmart app open and I compare the prices and I have made myself a list of buy at Walmart or buy at dollar tree. The five dollar wreaths are a steal because not only is it time-consuming to get a wreath form and put all the ribbon in it but it cost money to buy the ribbons. So you just buy the wreath pull the eggs off if you don’t like them and add your own decorations and you have a beautiful wreath. And my dollar tree has pink ,green, blue, and then a multicolored one, which is absolutely gorgeous.

I've discovered that a lot of items at Dollar Tree are now CHEAPER at Walmart. My local DT stopped carrying ALL $1.25 sodas (which were mostly regional brands) , and replaced them with 20 ounce Coke, Pepsi & Dr Pepper products, and they're charging MORE than any other store in my town, even 7/11 and Circle K are cheaper.

It does remember me of Family Dollar & Five Below...but all good. I do not totally mind it. Just have to be more cautious and aware of the price & the quality and what you're getting for the price. Unfortunately we do not have the 99 here in alabama

I went to DT yesterday. I had a blast!!! I found 4 different novelty socks. Omg i was sooo mad. I went to Family Dollar to get Benadryl and Acetaminophen PM. Of course it wasnt there. Hasn't been for 10 months. So, i had to go to Walgreens and spent $21.00 for two items. Then i go to DT yesterday and of course Benadryl and Acetaminophen PM was there. 24 tablets per bottle. I couldve spent $10 instead of $21. My next trip to DT im going to stock up. I have bad trouble getting to sleep. I need both antihistamine, acetaminophen PM and Ambien to sleep. Im buying 10 bottles each next time lol

Saw them installing price checkers and noticed higher priced items being mixed in with everything else. Some things were $6. I knew it was downhill when they started the Dollar tree plus crap. Easy to shop there before , but now it’s going to be more complicated . Not happy.

My sister and her grandchildren went to a dollar tree, and it is now $1.75 per item. I was telling her about the rumor, and she said it already happened 😢 What's funny is that the store 5 miles down the road is still $1.25.

There used to be one dollar plus section, now the items are mixed together and prices will rise from 1.25 to 1.75
