Nature sounds are also helpful to help soothe your sweet baby or toddler to sleep; as well as your pet dogs, cats and pet birds to keep them company while you are not home or as a distraction to keep them busy. ASMR has also been known to help soothe and calm those with Dementia, Alzheimer’s Disease, Mental Health, Addiction, ADD, ADHD and Eating Disorder issues.
What is ASMR:
Stimuli that can "trigger" ASMR, as reported by those who experience it, include the following:
* Listening to a softly spoken or whispering voice. Waves crashing, water or river flowing, rain, wind blowing, thunderstorm, nature animal sounds, eating sounds.
* Listening to quiet, repetitive sounds resulting from someone engaging in a mundane task such as turning the pages of a book, scratching/tapping/touching sounds on an object, crumpling paper and eating crunchy sounds.
* Watching somebody attentively execute a mundane task such as preparing food, eating food, applying makeup, etc.
* Receiving altruistic tender personal attention, such as a massage, hair brushed, facial, makeup application.
