The frontier trilogy by Taylor Sheridan is dope (Sicario, hell or high water, and Wind river). Has a lot of iconic moments, but not as idolized as the dollars trilogy The stories are more gritty and depressing but still has the lawless themes of westerns, it even grounds the heroes while still humbly elevating them

I saw this trilogy in my youth in the summer of 1979 and was immediately hooked. Ennio morricones soundtrack score provides unforgettable beats and majesty to the balletic movement of Clint eastwoods gunslinging man with no name. The music evokes epic landscapes, emotions and blistering action that is timeless. It's influence is still felt to this day and never grows old. Morricones music alongside leones direction and Eastwoods cool charisma is one for the ages.

O estilo de Leone é bem diferente do de Kurosawa. A imagética de Per um pugno de dollari é outra, com muitos closes e zoons, e mais diferente ainda é a trilha sonora. Kurosawa processou Leone por puro ciúme do sucesso de Per un pugno... Este fez mais sucesso no Japão do que seu próprio Yojimbo. E Leone sempre avançava aprimorando seu estilo, enquanto Kurosawa era sempre algo repetitivo. Leone é o maior e esta é opinião hoje até de grandes diretores americanos como Spielberg.
