Did you see that she very graciously declined?! I’d support Dolly so much more than very questionable singers/bands/rappers already inducted.🙄 Dolly would’ve deserved it over any of them but felt she didn’t.😔 You should look it up~ I’m butchering her words. Love her so much! 💗

Missy actually deserved the induction though. She is a true pioneer. Btw I don’t know why they still call it “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame”. When it literally has a very eclectic mix of artist in there now. They should just change it to “Music Hall of Fame”.

Dolly Parton is truly a legend in the music history and it's telling there is next to no vocal opposition to Dolly being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, considering the outcry that occurred when other artists were inducted that had no association to rock music. For instance Whitney Houston, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the biggest hit of her career was a cover of Dolly's classic country song "I Will Always Love You". It's Dolly's influence on generations of artists and songwriters that got her Dolly into the Rock and Roll of Fame and why she so admired across the music spectrum.

Ok ok ok, now do The White Stripes-Jolene (Live in Blackpool) Its an amazing cover of this song, one that Dolly Parton was very impressed by! Actually if i remember correctly, she said that out of all the artists that have covered her songs, that's her favorite one.

She has been selected to be an inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame but when it was announced a few months ago she declined the invitation to be an inductee cuz she felt she deserves it. She just finally accepted it. That is the epitome of a great person who humble and still down to earth.

Dolly is great for so many reasons. Love Steal Magnolias! One song i loved by her, as a kid was Here You Come Again. They used it in the Gilmore Girls reboot. We should all be so lucky to look that good at that age!

Speaking as a foreigner (in New Zealand), "Country" music almost always implies US country-inspired music. The only other country which I've heard of having its own distinct style of country music is Australia. New Zealand has its own country music, but its sound is very heavily influenced by US and Australian country music or by traditional local folk music (if you want an example, try Patsy Riggir's "Beautiful Lady")

As you probably know (James) one of Nashville's biggest present day stars is from New Zealand although everyone thinks he is Austrailian. Keith Urban was born in N.Z. Thank you for your export as he is a true pro and came up the hard way playing in dinky bars for many decades before moving here to nashville. This is in comparison to these newer stars who are "discovered" on these idol shows and have not paid their dues like Keith has and it shows on stage and in his interviews.

Dolly has hundreds of amazing recorded songs, but I'll give you some of my favorites that didn't necessarily end up being huge hits: I'm Gone (video is trippy) Better Get to Livin' When Life is Good Again (during the lock downs ~2020) Old Flames Mule Skinner Blues (cover) My Blue Tears Put it off until Tomorrow Country is as Country Does I could easily list 50 more...

Just remember, like awards like the Oscars, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is not the standard, as some of the greatest artists (Supertramp, Midnight Oil, Chris Rea and so many more) will never get invited to join - love your Duran Duran, I love my Japan, Talk Talk and Joe Cocker and so on. Those who know, know who is and was special.

One of my favorite songs she does, and she does an excellent duet with her God Daughter Miley Cyrus kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rbyarKqnl9CtqWg.html. I used to get roped into singing this with an owner of a local Karaoke Bar when ever I went in there. Dolly also produced a movie about herself "Coat of Many Colors" which was fantastic. Who doesn't like Dolly!!! Love that you enjoyed Dolly!

Well...it WAS a great song...until you stopped it! Takes y'all three minutes to start the song, then stop it less than a minute later. I saw this coming decades ago, this generation, everything is now, now, now. All of you guys have an attention span of about 30-40 seconds, (prove me wrong.) Stinkin just experience the song all the way through. By not doing so, you genuinely rob yourself of what music truly is. Anyway, my hope is that you really understand, not WHAT I say, but WHY I am saying these things. It's like somebody giving you a Mazarati but you never take it out of reverse and afterward, think that you are experiencing EVERYTHING that the vehicle has to offer, thus claiming that after you test drove it, ONLY in reverse, you feel yourselves experts on the entire machine, see how that works? Kinda doesn't huh? Hope this helps. You may not notice it but it is obvious out here.

Guys if you are reading this just know that your excitement is a thrill to your reactions! Please do Dollys song that Whitney Houston recorded for the movie " The Bodyguard" Everyone that this was Whitney s song but whitney was the one that stole it from Dolly but, Dolly said that she didnt care because she was laughing all the way to the bank!
