This is my second attempt of uploading this video, the first time it made five versions of it, all only 2 minutes long, and all of them the first 2 minutes. This time it should be the whole thing... anyway, I made this in a day but I'm quite proud of it.
Feedback would be greatly appreciated, good or bad, but spam will be deleted.

I love all the comments. It's something I have to remind myself of everyday. Dolly was an inspiration. Have a little dog on my knee going through some chemo and just glad to be alive. Wonderful!!!!

Dolly is so down to earth, so comfortable with herself, and SO TALENTED. She wrote this song and I believe it is one of the most meaningful songs I've ever heard! She really is incredibly intelligent. What a lady and role model. It would be really difficult not to like this lady :) Anyway, I LOVE this song!

This is Dolly Parton's voice ! Just listen to Lee Ann's version, and you will definitely hear the difference, though they are both great. I prefer Dolly's version.

Wow. Just wow. When you said this, I did a little digging to see if Dolly Parton even did a cover of this song, ever, because I never heard of it. I still cannot find any such thing. And this is obviously Lee Ann Womack's voice.

Song is great- really great. Who wrote it? Dolly herself? Don't think so.. But beautifully sung. The visuals are another story, off the wall. Totally goofy. They take away from the intensity of the song, which is very powerful. Dolly-- fire your producer. Actually I think the song started with Ms. Womack, another "country" song. Look at her version, just as good. Who wrote it?

Dolly Parton is not singing! It even says in the description that Leanne Womack is singing. It is just a song dedicated to Dolly by a fan.

I read that too, but does that detract from the value of the video? She does sound uncannily like Dolly Parton, such a loveable person. The issue of tribute bands, like the Petty Theft tour going on right now is always problematic; do you try to incarnate/reproduce the original or produce a cover that honours the original but you make your own. With Petty Theft, and all that outpouring of love etc., intentions were good, not sure about result in the same way that during the Kennedy Centre Honours for Springsteen, Sting just sang like Sting and it was amazing, while other artists were well-meaning but it wasn't ... Springsteen. You brought up an important point. I think here it worked. Tx for post!

So wait, are you 100% sure that Lee Ann Womack wrote this song and not Dolly Parton? Just really curious since my mom keeps insisting that Dolly's the one who wrote it...they do sound EXACTLY alike...but did Lee Ann truly write it from the beginning?

Just came across this on KZfaq & its the first time I realized it wasn't Dolly Parton. Whenever I've heard it in the past, on the radio or walking thru a store, I just assumed it was Dolly singing. Too bad she wasn't given the song instead of a copycat singer. Dolly is the McCoy! I still think it must be her. Womack must have channeled her.

Why do people make up this junk? She didn't write the song, and it came out in 2000, but Womack divorced in 1996 and remarried in 1999. It has absolutely nothing to do with divorce.

Show us a link to anywhere that Dolly Parton ever recorded this song? This is nonsense. Lee Ann Womack recorded this song first, and Parton never recorded it at all.
