Decades ago, when my grandma was in the hospital for a heart issue, they gave her soup and she called it "stone soup" because it had no taste. We laughed about that for years after! It is a shame when a buffet is cold. It really turns me off. The place looked fancy but fancy or not, the food should be hot. :-( I would have wanted to fill up on prime rib, chicken and dumplins, and shrimp and grits. hehehe Grits totally depend on who's cooking them and how they are made. I love your inserts of snowmeister and heatmeister (I'm mister sun!). Truth be told, where prime rib is concerned, it should be served pink. Some do it rare (I don't like that) but some do it too done (an old shoe). hehe

Yes you should always try different foods and also eating Foods a few times like in a row or 3 or 4 times within the week something that you thought you didn't like you will like 😊

Have always had a good experience. We usually for the brunch or bogo during slow season. It has been fairly busy when we have been there and they kept things stocked. I think your review was very accurate when you were there. Always appreciate your honest opinions.

We have ate there twice ,first time was better than the second,but I as well think the timing was off the 2nd time we went.Over all love the atmosphere and most of the food that was on the buffet .Like John said we could just have desserts and coffee and it'd be worth the cost!Lol!

It's always fun to try new places, but how sad that they aren't keeping it all hot and filled, that would be disappointing, but like you said it's hard when people are taking it themselves, it's hard to keep up sometimes. I'm also not a fan of the pink meat, I often have to send it back especially if I order steak, I just don't like to pay a lot and have them undercook it when I ask for it a certain a way. I guess they made up for the early disappointment by putting out the yummy desserts. Thanks for taking us along with you.

The decor is gorgeous. Kind of rustic elegant. You guys surely went at the wrong time. You got the leftovers of the buffet and they weren't at their best in texture and temperature.

I too don't eat pink meat. Way to much food to eat for me. I like my hot food hot and cold cold. For that price the food should match it. 😋 Don't like buffets just for that reason. Enjoying the videos.

I don’t understand why everything in the buffet is cold. They should have heaters to keep everything warm. It makes one not wanting to go there to eat cold food!

I really enjoy these. I was born in Bradford, Pennsylvania, which is located in the NW corner. I'm so pleased that I can't gain weight just watching. Oh, I had never heard of shoo-fly pie, so obliviously, I have never tasted it.

Buffets are a crap-shoot. Try a few here in Las Vegas, specifically these; Bacchanal, Wicked Spoon, The Wynn, and The Excalibur. You will see/taste the difference.

The best Prime Rib is the smoked prime rib at Calhoun's in Gatlinburg. Its not on the menu you have to ask for it.

dream more during the winter months in the slow times does bogo for locals. it is a good treat at that price for sure. hate the paper straws

My husband used to ask me why i always got a salad on a buffet too but i still got it. It tastes fresh and you can add a lot more stuff on it then at home. I also will not eat Prime Rib. I hate any kind of pink in my meats. I need it very well done. Love the brussel sprouts and carrots. Yummy desserts. Did you stay at the Dream More too ?

Had a very similar experience at the buffet. came when it first opened and most items weren't hot. They had Salmon the night we went and my son enjoyed that. Meatloaf, nothing special, Prime Rib was reheated from the night before. Overall as a season ticket holder the price was right, drinks included and good desserts. For $10 or so more it had to be a better value than the cookie dough place. Keep the videos coming, enjoy your views!

We had the breakfast buffet. It was good. Everything you could want. But it reminded me of a shoneys breakfast buffet, but 2 times the cost.

Buffet was priced right!!! Sorry to hear the food was not up to temperature that's on the Chef. I love Prime Rib so I would love a big thick piece 😋. Shrimp and Grits are the bomb 💣

Being Dollywood Dream More I am surprised the buffet was reasonably priced. The first plates would have been disappointing for me but I'm glad you persisted & got more satisfying food. Hubby is allergic to black pepper & has to be very careful.

The food did look good that's why I don't eat Prime Rib .I do like my Medium. I 'm from the South but don't eat Banana Pudding I don't Bananas Period. And as far As For Fried Chicken I only like the Dark meat Thighs and Legs .Merry Christmas Thanks for Sharing your honest opinion with Us.

Hint: grits with the cheese throughout is the best! Too many places just put the cheese on top of the grits only, and that’s gross. The food Definitely looked better on the second round. Except the prime rib. Lol, I’m a medium rare person. ☺️ PS don’t worry about the cold pink prime rib, in my area, we buy it from the deli just like that! ☺️

I love your reviews but it shouldn’t matter what time you arrive that food should’ve been hot! There is no excuse for cold food because they don’t say well this the slow time so you only pay half price they charged you full price so I think at least give me warm food.

Sorry it wasn’t as good as we all expected it to be…buffets are hit or miss I have found the Chinese buffets to be the best but we used to have a genuine Swedish buffet in North Palm Beach which was amazing but they closed. Would be really interested in hearing your story-how you met and all. We know about your wedding but I think a lot of us would be happy to hear about it

My husband is from PA & would never eat grits & that is because he only ate them in restaurants. I'm from the south and now he LOVES grits, especially shrimp & grits. There are numerous ways to make shrimp & grits and they are all so easy. I recommend @home with Nikki for her shrimp & grits and Paula Deen's shrimp & grits (you can find both on KZfaq imagine that, lol) -----mine are a combo almost of the 2 (no recipe). It is also a good dish to make for company and you can season it the way you want---spicy or not so spicy. I like mine flavorful, but can't take the heat anymore as I have gotten older. Thanks again for another good review!!!

Looking at the menu, it's funny how many restaurants/people get the vegetable's name wrong. It's Brussels sprout not Brussel. Named after the city in Belgium. Like your videos. Too bad the food was cold.
