Dolomites Bikeday 2023: Experience Car-Free Roads in Cycling Paradise

Welcome to the Dolomites Bikeday Edition 2023! Have you ever heard of a Bikeday? If you're driving through the Dolomites by car, pay close attention to these special days because they'll bring your journey to a halt until late afternoon. However, if you're a cyclist, a Bikeday is a dream come true-a chance to ride on popular roads and passes without the noise of motorized vehicles. All you'll hear is the rhythmic breathing of fellow cyclists.
Bikedays are typically organized in the Dolomites during June and September. One of the most renowned events is the Sellaronda Bikeday, which was the first-ever Bikeday organized in the entire region. Just two weeks after the Sellaronda ( www.sellarondabikeday.com ), we have the Dolomites Bikeday ( www.dolomitesbikeday.it ), which I'll be showcasing in this video. Join me as we conquer the exhilarating climbs of Campolongo, Falzarego, and Valparola, and experience the pure joy of cycling in this breathtaking landscape.
Due to the immense popularity of these events, we hope to see Bikedays occur more frequently throughout the year in the Dolomites. So, mark your calendars and get ready for an incredible cycling adventure like no other.

Mir geht absolut das Herz auf, wenn ich diesen fitten Burschen sehe. So toll, wie locker und souverän er die Pässe weglächelt. Genau so sollten Kinder mit Sport aufwachsen! Fantastisch! Ich werde in knapp 10 Tagen bei euch sein und in meinem vergleichsweise beklagenswerten Zustand trotzdem jeden Höhenmeter mitnehmen, den ich irgendwo finde. Auch die Katermauer! Darf ich eventuell mal bei euch in Badia vorbeischauen und mir ein paar Tipps zu meinen beabsichtigten Routen geben lassen?

Peccato anche per noi contadino quando le persone ci camminano nel prato invece che andare sul sentiero....e adesso su per i passi un casino tra i rombi delle moto auto e poi non parliamo di quei mucchi di fazzoletti che trovi nel bosco inciviltà se no sarebbe perfetto se ogni fine settimana chiudono

Danke für die tollen Bilder. Ich durfte bis vor einer Woche für 14 Tage in euerer Grandiosen Gegend Rennrad fahren und bin natürlich auch diese Runde gefahren (allerdings fast komplett im Regen) Höhepunkt war aber der Sellaronda-bikeday. Und Gratulation zur tollen Leistung eures Juniors!

Visto il casino sui passi di questa primavera penso proprio che si arriverá presto alla chiusura dei passi durante l'arco della giornata o comunque una limitazione dei passaggi molto restrittiva.

Es ist keine offizielle Radmarke. Oder besser es ist ein Italienischer Handwerker der nur auf Fahrräder für "kleine Athleten" spezialisiert ist. BLR steht für Bramati Luca Racing -> instagram.com/blrbike/

Thanks for the video. We have been in Mallorca, watching the cyclists on the Coll de Reis and Coll de Sóller. Sadly no Dolomites for us this year.

Great video. Your son looks like he will be a very good bike rider. He needs to learn how to descend fast and safely. Maybe he can watch how Tim Pidcock descends, Peter Sagan or Fabian Cancellara?

Everything will come, it was his first "newbikeday" on a roadbike. So for riding the first time in that position after years on a MTB he did pretty well.

To me it looked pretty fast and more importantly very controlled. Don't forget that you are usually not surrounded by pro-bikers knowig hiw to keep the lane 😉

Sadly the next one is on September 16th. The Sellaronda version: www.sellarondabikeday.com/ Local governments are scared to close to roads during peak season of July and August and they are not able to see the value of such days.
