Normally, Tua would also have Waddle. He was in and out in the second half, due to stupid Preseason injury. But despite Hill getting 11 catches and everybody else getting 4 or less, Waddle, Smythe, Berrios, Cracraft, and Ingold were used for huge chunks of yardage. And as always, Tua spreads the targets. He hit 7 different receivers and targeted 8.

@@tawink Yup. I hate it when commentators talk one mattering over the other. Tua, Hill, Waddle, Cracraft, Smythe, and now Berrios are great on their own. BUT put them together and they all rise higher because of Tua. Hill can get open more because Tua can spread the ball to eight different Receivers. His awareness and great accuracy is why he can get it to them. And as he proved yesterday, if the Defense won't give him Hill or Waddle, he will find somebody else in the meantime. In between Hill's big receptions, were the other receivers carving off 10 to 20 yards a pop. How do they defend that? They have to let Hill go sometimes and Tua is always looking for it.

I’m starting to remember why I never liked watching Keyshawn his Dolphins takes are always so negatively biased. We only lost to Buffalo in the Playoffs last year because of lack of awareness on 4th down with a 3rd string rookie qb and rookie head coach.

Exactly. I've been following the Dolphins since the early 70s. And they've been performing in cold weather for decades, even when they couldn't run the ball and had to throw in the cold, wind, rain or snow. Key speaks prematurely in this case.

Run 5 down lineman. Double rush the center or guards to collapse Tuas pocket and make sure DE contain and peel with RBs. No one can stop him 1v1 and zone makes players too immobile. Focus on disrupting Tua not Tyreek.

Tyreek has played at another level since coming to Miami. Tua is able to get Tyreek the ball more consistently then mahomes ever could. It is all tyreek? Do you not have eye balls? There's not a single corner who can cover tyreek. Dude is wide open all the time. All tua has to do is hit a wide open target and he. All the other recievers had 4 catches or less. Tyreek hill is the best receiver in the nfl imo. We seen this same thing last year. They had a really good start and started playing better teams and started losing and tua got injured amd that's all she wrote. Tua is a good QB but tyreek makes his job so much easier and makes him look really good.

Well, no, he had a horrible game vs SF and LA before the injury. He himself made mistakes. Tua is throwing to receivers that cannot be covered and the offense has better communication than last year. But Tua's ability to stretch plays is what I think he doesn't get enough credit for.

@@c2jones He was like this last year. Tua was 4-0 until the Bengal game where he got the first concussion. Dolphins then went 0-3 with injury-prone scrub backups. Tua came back in week 7 and the Dolphins went 5-0. So the Dolphins with Tua was 9-0, with 3 backup losses. Then the Niners game proved that Tua can have a bad game, and then the Chargers became the first team to shut that passing offense down and proving that they cannot be one-dimensional. Though losing by three points, he threw 234 yds and 2TDs against the Bills in week 14. And then against the Packers he suffered his second concussion, but only after ensuring the win with 310 yards. He was out the rest of the season as the Dolphins backed into the playoffs.....because of Tua's play all season. And Tua is throwing to receivers who are usually always trapped between defenders, which means that he has to be very accurate when he lasers or drops. You put those receivers with a Bryce Young or a Trent Dilfer and these receivers would not be what they are. Why do people always look at Tua and Hill (and any of the other Receivers) as if its Culpepper just tossing it up to Randy Moss? Tua also spreads the ball. He hit 8 receivers yesterday for chunks of yards, which frees up Hill. And this was much like what he did last year.

@MSgt0699 Your assessment is correct here. Better than most. And I haven't reduced him to a below-average QB in my illustration. I've just affirmed the facts which to your credit, you have acknowledged. Far too many have short memories or blind allegiance. Some fans say that Tua needs to get rid of the ball quicker. Actually, part of his success is stretching plays that count big. He did that yesterday. Others say he is overly fragile because of his long (lifetime) injury history. That's a fair argument, but those injuries last year were all flukes. One was a late hit after the whistle, the next a slam down and the third an incidental hit to the helmet, all of which could happen to anyone. The next myth is that the OL is getting him beat up. Actually, he was pressured far less than the NFL average and sacked less. The Eagles run the same offense, have 3 PB players on their OL and were pressured and sacked far more than the Dolphins, and they were in the SB. Yesterday, we hardly heard Mack or Bosa's name at all, and that's without Armstead.

@@c2jones Absolutely. The only reason some say he needs to release quicker is that they don't want him hit. But the O Line is clearly aware of their job this year. Mack and Bosa were no shows, without Armstead. Tua is best when he has time to allow the routes to play out, or at least to the point where a target is attractive. And he is quick to identify that, which means he is reading the Defense and is anticipating where the receivers are going to be. McDaniel learned from last year and how to use these weapons as more than just targets. Hill and Waddle are often enough better used as decoys, and the Play scheme seems set up for this. This helps Tua spread the ball, which spreads the Defense, which allows players like Hill and Waddle more opportunities to get open. His accuracy and their speed will do the rest. It's going to be a fun Season...as long as Tua isn't on a stretcher.

Tua gets the ball out on time and very accurately and sometimes that is all you want your QB to do. Cousins and Jefferson, Purdy and anyone, you can be physically underwhelming, not everyone has Josh Allen's arm but with the right scheme and talent those on time QBs are super effective.

I was happy for Tua to pull that out. All the slander he gets, particularly the dolphins shoulda taken Herbert slander, he deserved that W. And Herbert is more physically talented but tua is more clutch. Tua drove the team for the go ahead score, while Herbert took an intentional grounding and got sacked twice instead of getting the ball out

I was born in 64 and been a dolphin fan since their inaugural season. Nothing to get excited about one game 16 games left. They pump you up and then the next week they'll bring you down. Nobody knows what's going to happen let's enjoy the ride.

All the absolute dimes that Tua threw yesterday (including some sick throws on the run far down the field) and Skip says "can we see that pick he threw?" THAT is the throw that he wanted queued up to show?? It's garbage like that which causes Tua fans to say pundits are being haters. It would be like MJ scoring 50 and winning the game and Skip wanted to show a missed layup.
