"The real truth about politics... they can lie to your face, even build up a reputation, yet still you can not trust them until their actions with power are demonstrated! The ultimate point, above even elections, is holding them to account ONCE they have the POWER. Seriously, nobody thinks this way, when this is the ultimate truth."

Agree. This is a cautionary tale for all citizens of all municipalities. Get involved, read, attend meetings, evaluate candidates (no popularity contests). Place checks and balances with enforceable sanctions in the government structure. All spending must have specific metrics for approval and funds disbursement. Violators should be made personally financially liable for unauthorized/unlawful spending.

A few residents going homeless thanks to increased taxes, maybe a few citizens won't have an officer present when needed, some school children won't have the funding that could have paid for a football uniform that would have gave them a chance at the NFL, and the list goes on and on. Property values will drop, all(many) citizens will walk away with permanent scars which can be a long-term positive by ensuring all future leadership is held to strict stands of respectability.

The Tahoe should be paid for solely by the single siniture, TH. The trustees should ask Lori Lightfoot to notify the dealership that Dolton requires the Clerk's signature as well and that billing should be submitted to TH, not Dolton and refuse future payments!

If the recall to have Tiffany removed failed, why nobody tried to impeach her? Also, why the residents/taxpayers didn't bring their weight to the Attorney General and/or the governor? In all honesty, when Tiffany goes to prison, corruptions will still exist in Thornton and Dolton. Just not at the level Tiffany is doing it.

2:07 I absolutely believe people should be involved in local, state, and national politics. However, this man in the timestamp oversimplified it. Polling places all over the US are being eliminated, so saying "spend 15-20 minutes to vote" can easily become an hour or two, or more! I believe that there should be automatic registration for all citizens 18 and up, and Election Day should be a federal holiday.
