I swear watching Japan volleyball team is the only team that never get me bored even tho I'm not Japanese, always surpassed my expectations and never failed to amazed me.

I couldn’t agree more! They play as a team, they are quick, unpredictable and always seem to confuse the opposing team. Although their team doesn’t consist of superstars like Vargas or Egonu (I am not sure if the spelling is correct haha), they work together, refusing to give up and try their hardest. I watched them play for the first time like three days ago, when they defeated Germany and I was REALLY impressed ( Imagine that I supported Germany haha)

🇯🇵Congratulations. 🇯🇵 was tired from fighting 🇧🇷🇨🇳, and 🇩🇴 was mainly sub-members and had little data, which was disadvantageous for 🇯🇵, but I'm glad 🇯🇵 managed to win. In the fourth set, 🇯🇵5-13🇩🇴, and 🇩🇴 was leading by 8 points, but 🇯🇵 caught up with her in the last minute and won.This is definitely proof that 🇯🇵 has become stronger. Good luck in the final round.I'm rooting for you.💪

Anyone who watched the full match would know that japan is at their 'underperform' state, maybe cause they're too tired since technically they played 2 games in the 24 hours span. But indeed, the mentality of japan is not something to be underestimated about. good games japan 👏👏

yes i watched the whole game and i observed that japan's defense on the floor was not japan's best but good enough to at least slow down the domenican's attack but they were still able to win thanks to kojima's stable first ball really

They just had a short time recover from the China game. Part of the blame is on FIVB on poor scheduling, but Japan's stamina is truly dangerous. One mistake or slip off from any team and Japan will easily destroy them.

@@GI876758 Not just poor scheduling it also written in their rules, which need to be changed since it can harm the athlete. They're not machine and need proper rest before facing another match.

@@magtral Yeah I rather FIVB divide all teams to multiple group stages like what FIFA did for football or FIBA for basketball and have 1 host instead of multiple hosts which probably the reason of the condense schedule. Not only they can give at least 1 or 2 full day off between games, but it can bring out the best of both teams by recovering stamina.

Japan did not play that well in the fourth set. The fact that they managed to take that set is a mark of their tenacity. Good effort from Wada in the first 2 sets

Kudos to Iwasaki. This setter's serves is always dominating that it makes the opponent struggle for first ball, leading to the setter being almost close to the net and hard to control its set.

The Japanese way of getting points one by one is very cool🙌, they were behind on points but they were able to equalize the points, the discipline of the players and their team work was very good👍👍👍, I was very impressed during the game🤩🙌🙌😍

Japan climbed from 7 deficit and Koga is Gold!❤❤ They really use a lot the back row which is good for having a tall blockers in front to see everything for an attack. Great strategy.

Japan was tired in this game. The match scheduled by FIVB was ridiculously too condensed, there should be longer breaks in between matches as its best of 5 games. Very poor scheduling, but team Japan's stamina were truly insane.

背の高い選手のいる中国よりも、苦戦でした。スコアを見ると、僅差で第4セットは8点ビハインド。最多得点19点の古賀選手、15点の林選手と石川選手、ブロックも強い10点の山田選手。二人のセッターも、リベロも、大活躍。特に、第4セットは圧巻の逆転。 声が枯れて疲れているのに、笑顔でサインや写真に時間を割いている古賀選手は、中国のファンにも大人気。次は日本での試合、ゆっくり、休んでくださいね🎉🎉🎊🎊

To be a Queen,ppl have to fell the ambition to "conquer"and stablish hegemony,as Japan,China ,Cub,Brazil and Rusia,did in the History of Volleyball,but in the case of the Dominicans,they always, look,like they are satisfied enough,for just been there. They play at the level of depth of their limited vision.

日本は男子も女子もディフェンスがいいから25点までに追いつける😊サーブを打った時に相手の攻撃をディフェンスしないと連続得点はできないのでブロックが高くない日本がそれをできているのは驚異的。ロンドンでメダル取った時となんとなく似てきた。あの時のメンバーが随分サポートしてるみたいだし。全ては真鍋監督の人徳

In the 4th Set, it was 22 X 18 for Dominican Rep., and even with that margin of advantage, Japan came back...that was amazing, wasn't it?

I only saw the stats of 4th set and I was like “they have to play 5th set” And then I was surprised when I saw the results Both DR and Japan were amazing especially in defense skills
