Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara are sent to take down a curse in a detention center, and this curse quickly shows it is FAR TOO POWERFUL for them to defeat. This leads to Yuji being in a TERRIBLE spot with this curse, forcing him to give Sukuna control or die, and what Sukana does to this curse is TERRIFYING! With the power on display this episode and the cliffhanger at the end, we can't WAIT to see what happens next!

Windows are sorcerers that are capable of using cursed energy, and while yes, I'm sure some are afraid to fight, most just dont have the power. Some do, but are more suited for work as a Window, which puts up veils as well, the barrier that gets put up to hide the jujutsu fights from the world.

It's crazy to look at this episode and think about how this could have almost not ended in disaster. Sukuna actually prompts for Yuji to just switch already, he was really expecting him to be able to, and if he was, there would be no issue. Curse got exorcised, Yuji got his hands back, everyone is happy. :)

I know you're already pretty far ahead and I'm sure you've been told to watch the JJK 0 Movie right after finishing season 1, but I would highly recommend watching it after finishing the first 5 episodes of season 2. They flow really well into each other and will make the continuity a little less confusing imo

Well, it's likely the animation style and change of directors or whatnot. But lore wise, I'd argue Season 1 Sukuna is newly reawakened, more untamed in terms of being awakened back in the human world. So he's in a bit of frenzy ready to wreak havoc with no actual plans. Season 2 Sukuna has more fingers, and is more calculating, especially with all the plotting he's been doing. SPOILERSSSSSSS He made a pact with Yuji, and by the time we see him come out in season 2, he's already over that initial frenziness of being reawakened. He's learned more about Megumi and is essentially preparing his plans for what's to come.

Love this Episode! From my favorite show! If your guys are interested there is an anime about An elf and her friends defeat a demon king in a great war. But the war is over, and the elf must search for a new way of life. it's call Frieren and not only is it a great show, it also has one of the best Dubs in recent memory. At least consider it for a future series to watch.
