Facts, and it didn't help that it came out the same year as another Superhero team-up movie: Zack Snyder's Justice League. People can say what they want about the "Snyderverse", but ZSJL was leaps & bounds better than this. 🤦🏻‍♀️🙄 lol This was... really not good. Pretty abysmal, tbh.

I understand why it was the way it was… They didn’t know if it would have the same success as other Marvel movies because The Eternals aren’t very popular. That being the case they weren’t sure they would want to make a sequel, so they had to make a self contained story that also moved the overall marvel narrative. That’s a tough ask with that many characters, three different main conflicts, several sub conflicts and all with a group that is new to most people and requires character development and all of that stuff. Truthfully, they should have eliminated all of the conflicts with the exception of the celestials, as their introduction into the MCU was the primary function. The whole thing with Icarus would have stayed as a plot twist, but they should have limited the time spent on the Deviants to flashback fight scenes to add action and team development. Cro shouldn’t have been in the movie. They shouldn’t have had the whole thing with Athena and her lapses where she attacks the others. Everything that does is accomplished with Cersei talking to Arishem. That way more time could have been spent on character and plot line development.

As a lifelong Marvel comics fan I can wholeheartedly say that this was an absolutely horrible movie. In no way was any part of the movie relatable to the comics, not even a little. It was a random made B movie at best.

This movie sucked due to the plot COMPLETELY removing the possibility for a Galactus story arc due to the complicated subject of CANNIBALISM that disney [better not] would have to deal with... Galactus eating the aborted fetus of his own kind? Not Disney material. [Note: Galactus is a celestial. The earth was an "egg" for a celestial. Galactic was introduced, about to eat earth. NOW, Galactus would be eating his own kind]

Holy wow, gay black, Asian, women, it feels like the characters and casting was just trying to fulfill a checklist, instead of actually making a good movie. Movies are for leasure time and for people to relax and have a good time. Inclusion and diversity can happen naturally, once we look at everyone as equal and judge, hire, promote and give opportunity based on merit, not this, this does nothing but ruined our free time lol
