Tilder Moyo-Karizamimba is a Zimbabwean radio personality who is well known for tackling sensitive social issues. She made a name for herself at Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC)'s Radio Zimbabwe where she hosted a no-holds barred Sunday morning talk show which touched on various social issues. Some of the controversial issues that the programme has dealt with include those of satanists, child prostitutes, victims of rape and business people who use juju to enrich themselves. It was a phone-in programme and many a times perpetrators and victims called in airing their views and experiences making it worthwhile for the audiences to tune in. She also presenter of the Popular Tv Music Programme Ezomgido/Mvenge-mvenge on ZBCTV Before she left zbc for greener Pasture

First caller you are too quick to blame spirits especially dr myamakawo. Just because you don’t understand something doesn’t mean it’s a spirit. I think you were on the right track with hormonal suggestion. If someone is acting different they are not well. If it affects their brain you see behavioral symptoms. Why not encourage couple to seek medical care if the guy is sure he didn’t cause this Eg with cheating or violence or some other thing. Some men are good at saying everything is fine when it’s not or minimizing their abusive or cheating ways. Maybe she has clinical depression if she is not talking and not caring for the kids or home. It could also be a symptom of something else going on with her. As for advising to “go back home” I don’t know why you always advise that. What “home” do grown women go back to? That sounds like a child not a grown woman. If someone already has grown kids why treat her like a child? When grown ups separate they share property and discuss childcare. No one has power to just “chase” another because what they have together they built together most likely . You are encouraging people to be dispossessed of their property or men to think they own the home and the woman doesn’t own anything she can just be kicked out. That’s a misogynistic position or sexist at best

I hear where you are coming from and do agree on your submission on behavioural issues caused by imbalance of hormones and clinical depression ( or spectrum of both) ! Sometime life issues compound by existing traumas incapacitate a person. I also agree there is no one solution. I disagree on sending someone "home" and chirongwa domestic issues is ZW's holistic approach which is in accordance to our culture and way of living ( its not perfect) its a process that most understand vs western ideologies! We have to be careful what we prescribe or aspire when assisting communities. Should we have a wholelistic lense and approach YES!! 100% but you have to realise the reality on the ground the current support systems are just that!! we are making steady progress by even having a radio station and this comment section to highlight these issues. I appreciate your pov, I think we need to keep in mind in these cases - what support systems are readily available to callers & how best can we educate, support & safeguard the mass' & to progressively work on improving these channels.

@@tanyamilewski5700 I am not saying our culture doesn't consider in sickness & in health because I know it does ( not many people are equipped to execute it ), its an observation that we need to take into account the history & current circumstances - not everyone can afford therapist/psychologist and clinician ! In fact this case is shedding light that we need more of them even at a practician level to assist in raising awareness of the impact of mental health issues. Home can be interpreted in many ways ( for the duration I've watched these programmes) its actually respite, safeguarding and self -help. They've consistently made it clear they don't promote family breakdown and even extended after support care. No one is stripping anyone from anything, individuals are entitle to their free will hence they called in to hear a different perspective from professionals - advice is given not imposed.
