Idk how much you can take from ota’s and mandatory minicamp. Obviously you want to see good stuff but without pads it’s tough to judge.

I think we have more than enough depth on defensmive line and quality coaches to bring guys up to speed.. I think a bigger demand would be offensive line for a veteran and or more depth in front of josh, And then picking up a veteran DB.

Regarding the secondary it has been my observation that in the past two years 100% of the secondary at one point or another has been injured and missed games. Could the style of defense lend itself to injury with generally smaller secondary players having to come up and make critical tackles on generally larger players? That is why I think adding a CB is necessary.

I wonder if the WRs on the roster are creating enough separation for Josh to make the throw to them. These are all average WRs. This is an obvious concern. Maybe go trade for Hopkins. He can still get separation against defenders.

I really hope that Josh has been practicing in the offseason or at the very least utilizing the time off to improve where he needs to. I will never understand the whole golf thing in the offseason especially when the Bills were knocked out of the playoffs. That event/ vision would be embedded in my head and that would be enough to begin training early ahead of OTAs. Clearly he hasn’t done anything. To Josh I’d say, Put the damn clubs down and when you win a SB ring then go play golf all you want.

I never understand this criticism for the life of me. Josh has been consistently the best performer in the post season for us, and one of the more productive individual performers in the post season period since 2020, while the defense and guys like Ed Oliver, Groot, Etc has yet to make a notable play or have played a good game since the Ravens game in 2020. Have you really watched these past few post season exits and said to yourself that Josh has to be better, more than you feel we need more from our so called "studs" on defense giving up 27pts or more against the Chiefs or Bengals?? Instead of worrying about Allen's offseason activity, maybe we should be more concerned with Miller, Oliver, Groot, etc and how their gonna make a difference for once, so we can get force more than a punt against the Chiefs. Mahomes won the Superbowl throwing a grand total of 6 TDs thru 4 games and it wasnt because of his offseason practices, it was because he had a defense and special teams that could pick up some slack. Not saying Allen is perfect but for him to be your biggest offseason concern regarding practice when our DL continues to disappear and get pushed around is insane to me

Absolutely right about the defense not stepping up when needed especially against KC. But to be fair, our defense was decimated with injuries last year. For the past seven years, my only gripe about Allen has been his consistent turnovers. That is whether he is throwing picks or fumbling/bobbling the ball. This has cost him two possible MVP awards and better recognition. That’s what I meant by getting better. But you’re right, he’s been the bright spot in the postseason.

Every great athlete plays multiple sports. You should be more worried about players blowing knees / ankles out playing basketball with their friends. Beasley and Flutie said they played basketball almost daily.
