At 260.8km with gruelling cobbles and multiple ascents of the infamous Kemmelberg, it is one of the most attritional races on the calendar! Biniam Girmay made history by winning in 2022 but who will claim this year's race?

Hopefully. Roglic is one of my favourite cycling rider but he never paid back after everything wout has done for him, specially at the WC 3 yrs ago. Same for vingegaard... wout's soul is too pure for this world

I cannot remember that's a great race like this has been given away by a team mate. Must be the first and says alot about van Aert. What an honorable man. Giving it to Laporte. Rare footage and will become cycling history. Hope he will be rewarded next week on de Ronde.

Amazing finish. Jumbo Visma has such a deep bench of talent. WVA continues to amaze; IMO, he was by far the most enjoyable rider to watch in last year's TDF, and he seems to have retained much of that form this year. Can't wait to see what he accomplishes throughout 2023.

What is JV’s secret to so much success, I’m not implying any kind of malpractice. Clearly they have taken Team Sky’s philosophy and magnified it. Outstanding team.

They share success around the team. Wout works well with his teammates in the classics, and pays them back when he can. Same goes for Rogliç. The team spent a lot of time working on tactics and compiling a roster that can execute the way they want!

Just listened to a podcast where Dr. Jeukendrup, a sports nutrition professor, explains, how they developed a software that calculates nutrition needs for each individual jumbo rider in race conditions based on their individual metabolism lab data. I mean, that's just one example of what they do and what budget and professionalism they have.

There is a documentary about them on Prime. Very insightful. They just leave nothing to chance in diet, training, bikes etc. Ofcourse the big budget they have atm helps with that. But if you just look at the team and who they bought lately. They just have fenomenale riders.

Early season message: Pogacar may still be the strongest rider, but Jumbo Visma is going to dominate the Tour de France again. Primoz is back on form, Vingegaard is on track for good form, and the rest of the team is super strong.

A classy end to a wonderfully classic Classic race. It has all of the elements I prefer in a Classic. Short steep cobbled climbs and cool rainy weather are always what I hope to see. Congratulations to the Jumbo-Visma team!

ME! I admire his racing. Seems like a nice guy. Appears to be a loving father. All good things, but I reserve real admiration (love) for clean athletes. I know, arguably there are no clean Pro Tour racers - so I'll just enjoy the racing without putting anyone up on a pedestal. I wish all the kiss-ass fanboys would do the same. "Love" the sport/race not the racers (cheats) who win.

yeah, I was not particularly impressed with his solo effort to get across. He seemed to be 20m back for 5 minutes and couldn't close the gap.

I totally agree with you, I use to watch the highlights on GCN Racing in French since that’s my mother tongue but today they were not ready yet and I thought “well let’s see on the English side” and then spoiler...next time I’ll have to be patient
