Works good for Destiny 2 as well. I use different controls that he does tho. The thumb toggle stick is what I use for my up, down, left, right movements. And I hotkeyed jump, crouch, slide, dodge, grenade, melee, etc. to the rest of the keys. Here's a tip. Before u hotkey anything, put your hand on it and feel each row of buttons to see which hand placement is most comfortable for u. For me, most of my hotkeys are on the second from the bottom row

I love ergonomic stuff, and the small size makes it a good match to my trackball mouse, so i can sit back in my chair, and have the keypad on the left lap, and trackball on the right. Some people dont like the linear buttons, but im not really a huge keyboard snob anyway, so im sure i will get used to it after a day or 2.

You are out of your mind if you aren’t using the directional pad for movement. It’s the only point of a keyboard like that. It’s designed to be for controller movement

Tar-ta-RUS!! 😂 I bought the pro as well, I also have the same Corsair mouse. I love the sniper button on the side, it’s just a shame you can’t sync Corsair’s dam leds across any other platforms. I might switch the mouse to the Razer Naga trinity one day because of that, it just depends on how much I rely on the nice big sniper button. Razer’s software is much better for linking different brand’s lighting together, especially with their new ARGB hub which I plan to get soon The main drawback for the Tartarus is the fact that you can’t store the settings inside the device, so if you wanted to take it somewhere else and use on a different machine you would have to install the software and load your settings that way. That makes it anything but pro IMO because it’s not practical to use in tournaments etc

Essentially the pro has “customizable” switches that don’t work as intended so your better off saving $40 and getting the V2

@@xan9888 I don’t think it’s difficult at all, my had can reach all the buttons pretty much without moving it. I use the d-pad for jump and slide and the space bar at the bottom for prone I saw the Videos where ppl are complaining about the switches but honestly I think they’re good. They’re responsive and feel normal to me. One of the main reasons I got the pro over the mk2 is the key caps can be swapped out for Cherry style caps. I’m planning on getting some rubberised ones just for W,A,S,D so that they’re easy to find. It took me a couple of weeks maybe to get used to using it but now that I have I’m really enjoying it

Hello I have a Cintiq and a Monitor I use different applications. When I switch from one application to another, the Razer Tartarus Pro Keyboard detects the app and changes the profile, that change is somewhat slow. Is there any way to temporarily fix the application you are working with. Thank you very much for your channel, it is educational and you are a very elegant person. ( P.S. Sorry for any mistakes in my English)

Hi nice to meet you, i hver some questions hope you can help me out. - Can this be use on PS5?. if so, do i need to buy an adapter to conect it to the console? - Can the game pad (the one that you use with your tumb) can be use to move your character to front back left and right? Thankyou!
@gamingwit2249
@gamingwit2249 2 жыл бұрын
I don't think it will work on a PS5 as it requires software drivers from Razer. You may want to do some research as I was able to get a mouse and the original Belkin Nostromo working on an xbox 360 using a 3rd party adapter in 2006. The biggest problem with that setup is that console games are not optimized for mouse input, so the resolution was very poor.

Another video makes a good argument for this keypad being more for MOBA than FPS. If you can't use the stick to move really, then you're still basicslly just doing WASD. Plus the tartarus pro (and I have the tartarus pro) has the thumb much more spaced from other fingrts than regular keyboard, which puts more strain on thumb extenders, and less leverage when pressing down on the tartarus equivalent of the spacebar (key 20). Also wondering where you map the jump key. In overwatch, paladins, etc. you jump more than in Warzone, and pressing on the 20-key button isn't practical for the above reason. So what are you using to jump if not the thumb circle button or the 20-key?

@allanshpeley4284

You could bind jump to one of your mouse buttons or any of the other 19 available. I agree, doesn't make sense to keep it as space as you wouldn't be able to move and jump at the same time.

I use a g13 but the thumb stick should be used for movement, using wasd is the disadvantage of m/kb and the thumbstick gives you that control and speed of movement back. If you're using the stick to move then you can move, sprint, jump, and crouch mid air with one motion of your thumb and index finger, I have a set of keys in a column at my index home key - G5 is shift for sprint, G12 for space to jump, G18 for C to crouch and G22 is prone but I use my thumb for that as sliding to prone is a low priority and only in one game that I play. Every single person using these to play with wasd keys needs to give their head a shake. This particular keypad has 8 directions to it as well so moving at angles works properly (unlike my g13 unfortunately which has analogue but most games never evolved to this one-off tech so it's stuck with only the 4 directions).

@@mytahmtoshine I know. Hence my comment. If you're using WASD, the only other free finger besides your thumb is your pinky to use as jump. If that is the case then you're just switching fingers for sprint and jump, and not in a productive way.

If there is analog stick for movement, I will say it is a benefit. Since you can use one finger to control all movement instead of 3 finger for wasd. Also analog stick is not limit to 8 direction. (But keyboard actually move direction a bit faster) But you just use it as a keyboard, no benefit at all.
