How do you feel rally cross will set you up for more traditional rally car racing? From a spectator's point of view, they seem very different.

In the same way auto cross can set you up for road course. It's understanding how the car moves in different terrain. It helps you understand how to predict the cars movements. My first time in the dirt I tried to run turns like a regular entry. I was braking late and then trying to use power to rotate. I was understeering every time. I then learned, oh - I need use the brakes to steer. It's laying the ground work and then using my experience from this, drift, and road course to enter traditional rally. Great question!
