Seduced by its immense white sand beaches and its “all-inclusive” hotels, visitors are ever more numerous to the point that the government wants to double reception capacities. But at what cost ! Today, the country is betting on mass tourism to the detriment of its less fortunate populations. The hell of the setting is the slums. Cyclones, torrential rains, floods, these dormitory towns are not spared from these climatic scourges. Fortunately, NGOs come to support them in their fight to survive. Fight lost in advance?
