There are many videos that teach Dominican Slang in Spanish, so I wanted to give those who are learning Spanish an opportunity to learn some colloquial Dominican phrases and words as more. As you can tell by the title, there is more to come.

Como afro americano que sabe español, a veces tengo problemas escogiendo cuál acento quiero utilizar , pero sin pensar siempre me sale un acento más Caribeño. I'm mixed (half black and half white) but everyone thinks I'm Dominican and I live in an area with lots of Dominican people.. so I wanna learn to speak spanish like them! I love your videos keep it up!

To be honest with you when I met biracial people who are half-black, half-white I do get them mixed up between 🇩🇴 & 🇵🇷 I'm proud of you by using your voice 😉 Don't let it affect you. I remember at my old job it was a guy 3 years younger me He's biracial He looks 🇩🇴

Sure. I'll just call it a different title. I stopped it, because I was like not everyone like Bachata. I just made a video for the Puerto Rican slang which is a similar style, ( I'm editing it right now.)

Hey! New subscriber here! Just a question, when I was younger I only spoke Spanish and even at one point lived with my grandparents in DR. Now I don't speak any Spanish and strictly English. Will it be easier and quicker for me to learn because I was fluent at one point?

I’m not stuttin them is actually slang. Many people from the Caribbean still say it fully. “I’m not studying them”. It basically means I’m not paying them any mind.

Lol o sea, yea. I mean a lot of Dominicans think I'm Dominican anyway, but even if they weren't ok with it, I would still talk like this, because I've never really let other's opinions control my actions. As long as I'm not saying something offensive, then there should be no problem ya know. 😆

I think they would be ok with it. When I spoke with dominicans at my job they told me that I could go to the DR and pass on as one. Alot of them think im dominican at times but I'll tell them I'm African American and they'll love to talk to me even more. I can't speak for all of them but I feel that a lot of them are cool about it
