I think any weasel and sore loser is just that. Questioning my hockey knowledge doesn't change a thing. Far overrated. In the same group as: Lundqvist, Sundin. If you want a class sweden player, you have to go back to Kent Nilsson, Naslund, Geez, the Swedes couldn't even beat the mocked up European team in the World Cup of Hockey and watching Nathan MacKinnon undress Lundqvist...priceless.

So what? We praise Scott Stevens for being the best hitter ever while destroying multiple greats careers and talk shit on Peter Forsberg for giving people scars? 2 differences. Forsberg was one of the most gifted hockey players ever when it came to toughness and skill and Stevens was a great defender that aimed to injure people. Why is Forsberg being bashed and I see zero vidoes on Cherry bashing Stevens. Its Canadian bandwagoning and all you guys are on the wagon. FOrsberg did get dirty at times but there is no way he should be compared to guys that are out there with the intent to injure. He played the game his way and sometimes people get hurt when you play his way (It's a very fast game). Not defending Forsberg or Stevens but the game was VERY different in the 90s and you had to do what you had to do to score. Forsberg figured it out for offense. Stevens figured it out for defense.

Forsberg was a bit dirty, especially agianst Detroit...! But that's how that rivalry was! Mean and dirty! He actually was "too dirty for his skills". He is, in my opinion, by far the best Swede and Eurpean ever and the third best ever behind Gretzky and Lemieux (he was probably better than Gretzky(as a complete player) but you have to respect the time difference and the points Gretzky put up!!!. He was dominant almost every shift and he put up amazing numbers on a second line and he showed up in the play offs and every time for Sweden in the Olympics, World Cup and World Championships!

A bang bang play?! When Suter took the lumber to Kariya's jaw, it was a good second after Suter had just seen the puck go into the back of the net, and might as well have been before the game. A late hit during an intense game is one thing, trying to take off someone's head because they just made you look like you were standing around picking your nose is quite another.

If you get slashed, hacked, poked, ridden on, punched, you too would have dished out revenge. They assaulted him every game and the refs knew it, so they let him retaliate. It’s fair. The only times he did these things was in retaliation, against other top guys that had good games, when the game was on the line, or if he was about to loose. If MJ goes down in sports history as the athlete that absolutely loved to win, Forsberg is the one that absolutely couldn’t stand loosing.

It allways amuses me to read what "experts" like you run your big mouth about... maybe you should keep some of your "expert opinions" to yourself... oh and by the way.... Mats Sundin 1346 games 1349 p is also in Hockey Hall of Fame... and they are both Swedes... and do i need to mention Niklas Lidström 1564 games 1142 p James Norris Trophy 7 times... and i can go on... there are several other great Swedish hockeyplayers... Daniel & Henrik Sedin... both Art Ross Trophy winners, Daniel Alfredsson 1246 games 1157 p, but i guess non of them can play hockey, in your opinion.... they all come from Sweden... and i suppose you know how tiny Sweden is, compered to Canada or USA... still we have 2 Olympic Gold medals, and have produced several world class players.... Canada have over 500 000 registered players, Sweden less than 70 000... So come on, my Canadian and American friends... doesn´t that deserve some respect !?!

Don Cherry was a cultural icon and I miss his edgy but truthful comments and his hockey knowledge. Now you have these woke commentators towing the line along with that communtist/marxist Ron MacLean. I will never look at Ron MacLean the same ever again, what a 2 faced p.o.s he is along with CBC/Sportsnet. This is to Don Cherry, if you ever read this comment, we miss you and it would have been good if you were able to retire with your job intact or on your terms or until CBC/Sportsnet was ready to move on after your contract was over. The silent majority still misses you and still respects you and supports your free speech and opinions about people wearing the poppy, which was the truth by the way. It seems these days that guys with Don in their name are truth tellers and not afraid to stick up for what they believe in.

What you don’t get is that he didn’t want to fight. He wanted to play ice hockey, and when people constantly played dirty against him, his way of fighting back was to retaliate. Players usually respected that he didn’t want to fight, and that if they did him dirty they would be on the receiving end shortly thereafter. Even though I love the fights, the fights aren’t ice hockey. Fights are calibrating tools so that players wouldn’t kill each other out there. I don’t know how you can call a player a bitch after he has slashed and cross checked Hatcher and McSorley.. 🤣
