But it is constructive. You can argue all you want about it registering whatever temp it is but the fact it is blue raw. Alvin is an old school chinese chef fs. In a kitchen if you mess an order up like that you're so prepared for a scolding and possibly suspension/reevaluation.

@@froshteathe keyword is tact, and both of them are tactless. When Gordon actually loses his mind, it's because of incompetencies but still acknowledges actual effort. The two could have said something that could've make the dish better and they're being an ass about it. The show is still a viable way for chefs to learn despite it being competitive, the competitors can lose and cry without being humiliated.

Nah bros you don’t know about that guy who cooked it, he is like the second a hole of the show. He always treats the other contestants bad, he never take on bad or negative responsibility (this happened in a a team task where he was the captain) and even at the beginning of this cookout he said he will definitely win this and was over confident. He basically shows attitude which made all the contestants and judges have a bad impression in him and hence the chef tossed his fries.

For anyone confused. Bleu is usually meant for lean meats like fillets. Ribeyes have a lot of fat so it's best at med rare to medium.

But they both pointed out what was wrong with it. It was undercooked. They were also right for calling him out on his excuses. Nobody cares what the thermometer said or how many places you stuck the thermometer. What matters is what condition the steak comes out in. And that was a deep, dark rare.

Thermometers are pieces of equipment to help you come to a final conclusion. Your ears, eyes, nose, and sense of touch is also supposed to help you come to a conclusion. If the dude just took the temps, and sliced throught the steak and saw an extremely rare steak, and figured the thermometer was still telling the truth then he's an idiot lol. ESPECIALLY since it seems like he was going for a more rare medium rare since he mentioned it saying 127.

If anyone's confused. Rare and Bleu is usually meant for really lean meat like fillet mignon. Ribeyes have a lot of fat and connective tissue so it's best at medium to medium rare.
