Finally, a goodwill home decor thrift shopping Vlog and I’ll share my thrift haul too. I experienced a rude goodwill manager this day who made an assumption about me that wasn’t true! Don’t be like him! Thank you so much for watching!

When you vlog it makes me feel like I am with you. I actually answer your questions. My husband asked me what I was talking about when I said, "An oil lamp holder." He got a kick out of me talking to my phone. I wasn't talking to my phone I was answering my friend, Julie, was my explanation to him after his laughter died down. I didn't tell him that we have never met or he would think I had lost my marbles.

Oh, what memories that wall lamp holder brought back! My daddy made so many of those in the 70s and 80s.❤️He always wrote his name on the back with an engraver. Even the color and how the one you found was routed around the edge, made me think of how he did his. Enjoy! It will look wonderful in your home!

I’m guessing that the manager, thought you were a reseller. I am personally against reselling (I live in the 4th poorest state and I see poverty everyday, 1st hand) but the manager shouldn’t judge anyone who comes in the store.

It is sad that the thrift stores aren't used for what they started out to be. And that is nice, affordable things for poorer people, like me. I watch some who resell, and they pick something up for a few dollars and sell it in their shop for $50 to $100. It's a shame.

Thanks so much for thinking of us in Florida. The hurricane was one of the worst on record in this country, and created mass destruction across most of Southwest Florida. Almost 3 weeks later it’s aftermath dominates our world and all of us in its path are taking it a day at a time, working towards something close normal as we knew it.

You know that angers me too,I am a faithful Goodwill shopper and I donate all the time!! But when they act like they can't give you a few dollars off from something is wrong,my goodness they are getting the stuff for free so it wouldn't hurt to give us a little dicount once in awhile plus they're prices are starting to get ridiculous!!!

Julie today I was at our local goodwill in Virginia with my mom and she found an oil lamp holder similar to this one for $3.99!!! She said she knew what is was because we’d recently watched this video! She was so excited to show me as I just bought an electrified oil lamp last weekend at another thrift store!! I wish I could send you a picture… it’s wood and has a mirror behind an oil lamp silhouette cut out in the wood. Needless to say it was our find of the day and it came home with me! Thank you for taking us along on you thrifting journey! ❤

It should not matter if something is for you or for resale.the stuff is for sale.I think that given the supplies are free to them goodwill is overpriced and the workers are often rude.

Hi Julie! I'm enjoying the vlog style videos so much! Your Walmart sounds like mine, ugh...2 checkers! My Walmart here in Kansas is going all self check after the first of the year, which is so annoying especially when you've got a cart full. I've heard all stores will be eventually implementing this. I truly have a love hate relationship with Goodwill, between the prices and management, it is crazy! As always you found you some cute things!! Great video and thank you so much for sharing!😊

I don’t mind shopping but I hate carrying all that stuff in!! By the time I carry it all in, I sm sweating and I am exhausted amd can’t make myself do another thing after it is all put away. Did I mention I am 74 years old and have to go up snd down 6 steep steps to get in my back door? .My cuts love it cuz they lay in my lap as I am catching my breath, cooling off and falling asleep!

I have a wheeled basket also. Its the greatest thing since sliced bread, lol. I'm elderly and it has been so helpful. Actually mines taller than yours and has a lid. I also use as a laundry baskets. You are wonderful to watch. The 🎄 cups would be great for making a candle in and giving away as a 🎁. My dad use to put money in books back in the 40's and before probably. Hopefully my mom found all of it before she got rid of them.

We dodged the bullet in Northeast FL where I live. I have a good friend in FT Myers that lived just 25 miles where the eye came in. She put a message on FB yesterday that their fine. So thankful to God for spearing them. That storm almost destroyed everything in their area. The road to Sanabel Bch was destroyed. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in south FL.
