I now realize that I was guilt of keeping quiet when I should have spoken: I was in an African congregation and I felt Holy Spirit leave the building. Still, I stayed on yet another few months before I left too. Holy Spirit never returned; when he left, things went downhill fast. Lesson learned for me: NEVER take your eyes off of Jesus and what he has done for you. When they did, their African house gods entered, Spirits manifested and well, "don't give ANY room for the devil"; I know what that means now. I should have spoken, regardless if anybody listened, but you become so appalled by what you see and feel that you go silent. It is our duty to address strange things in church. Thank you, Derek.

The Lord gave me insight of this since the start of the month and I could not stop thinking about being deceived and wanted to know how to not be deceived and recently I found this message the aligns with my thoughts "signs and wonders even the Anti Christ will do to deceive us into thinking he is Jesus"

I have really been praying about all of these “signs and wonders” I’ve been seeing and hearing about as most don’t seem scriptural. I’ve been unsure on how discern what is and isn’t from the Lord. WOW, what an on time message! Thank You Jesus!!!

"Signs and wonders do not determine truth. It is very essential to understand that." This is something that has alarmed me in recent years. So many people seeking signs and wonders through prophetic ministries, supernatural ministries and deliverance ministries need holy discernment to be protected from deceit. Even Jesus made it a point to emphasize in Matthew 7:21-23 there would be those engaged in signs and wonders who call out to Him "Lord, Lord" as if they are truly, fervently serving Him. But He, as the great judge, points out their grave sin calling their activities to have been done via iniquity. Then sends them to be apart from Him in eternity. That is a super, super serious warning so many overlook. How we acquire knowledge, and the spirit in which we do activities, is known by Him and judged accordingly. His Word will not change. Mixture is not pure, holy and acceptable. "It is sinful to compromise with evil. It is sinful to be neutral toward evil". He has already determined what is rebellion, witchcraft and iniquitous, and no amount of human reasoning in opposition to His righteous standard will change that. Especially the increasing practice of Biblically whitewashed reasoning, idolatry (loves put before or alongside God), deeper truths or mysteries and secrets. Recall in Revelation what Jesus called 'deeper truths'.

Notice he added”the” to what Jesus said. Many shall come in my name saying I am Christ. Not I am the Christ. The word Christ in this text means- “anointed, or anointed one”. What Jesus was saying is, Many shall come in my name, (in the name of Jesus) saying, I am anointed, and deceive many! He’s talking about preachers and teachers like Benny Hinn, or most any of them on TBN!

Addressing what Derek said about a man that was healed and the building they were in was shaking for 30 minutes. If the building shook for 30 minutes surely people around that building will have noticed and published the strange phenomena. The only person who told the story is Derek Prince. Again, his conversion began with laughing and crying in a barrack's floor. The city or town or the people he was with made no report of a building shaking. And nowhere in the bible does it say that at the point of conversion to God, uncontrollable laughter breaks out of a convert. Speaking every language (tongues of the Meads, Persians, etc ) did occur. This phenomena of speaking in tongues in the book of acts was manifest, but they were not gibberish. They were actual languages in those regions. Read carefully. It makes one wonder about all the other personal experiences Derek had. He emphasizes the warning " do not be deceived ", and rightly so. We must beware about teachings that is inflated with human dramaticals and more so with signs and wonders which are prevalent among many so called teachers, preachers etc. If you are not doing your assignment as a believer of God, which is mandated in Psalm 1:1--2, no need to say, you are an easy prey to Satan's trickery. The true warning is, if you are reluctant in reading, commiting to mind, understanding and living the bible's instructions, you will receive that strong delusion you will believe just any charismatic teacher's gospel sprinkled by bible words and verses. We must read the bible to its entirety and seek the Holy Spirit's clarification on what we read. Teachers, preachers, pastors, etc are ministers whose job is to remind, encourage and help us in biblical matters. Remember, they are humans too, and are subject to limited understanding and error. We MUST go to the very source, the bible, and let the Holy Spirit guide our understanding. " It is written means " we must read, know, understand and apply the whole truth and not follow the teachings of any and all who set the example of speaking about the whole truth with nothing but "a verse here, a verse there " grasp on the bible and wearing the rank of hypocritical titles for advantage over the reluctant Sunday religionist. READ for yourself the entire bible and examine the teacher's gospel if validated by the word of God. Otherwise, the cunning will " make merchandise out of you". I've encountered tricks on tv, radio and the pulpit, in how you are told to believe God and pray by real faith for God's provision, for instance they ask for " seed money ", etc. and at the ending prayer, they ask you for money help. Aren't they suppose to pray with faith for God's provision? I'm not against asking the hearers for help. I am expecting such people to be honest and truthful and leave the theatricals. Do not be deceived. READ your Bible thoroughly. Follow and do as advised in Psalm 1:1-2 in studying the bible. Derek here rehearsed the words " they did not receive the truth ". When we reject the reading, studying, knowing and learning the bible (truth in written form) we will easily fall into the hands of the liar. Why? Well, we have very little knowledge of the truth ( the bible ) because we rejected it. It should be no surprise that in the final judgement we are told "... depart from me ..." Rejecting the bible knowledge by not reading it is great error. God did not intend for His words to be compiled in a book we use to decorate a corner. It is meant to be read and studied " well " .

The problem with those who are in that strong delusion is they are lost in sin which leaves them in danger of the gate that goes right into the place that Satan and his angels will go into after the Son of God comes back.
