Imagine the US senators(Guberment) making laws where sports cards must be traded for other sports cards and no cash is allowed. No sports players may consume vitamins, steroids or pain medicine. Then, just when they argue about cards aren't investments, they're the first one's to rush out to the card shows, just to buy all of those Investments, encapsulated in plastic cases for large profits... .. I don't sell or trade my cards to me the hobby is about having pride in your collection and what player that you collect most of and yes the hobby is expensive but it's all about pride

Majority of the cards in boxes and packs are basically worthless unless it’s a sought after rookie and even then if it’s not what’s in demand it’s not worth as much. It’s also very hard to get rid of cards. The hobby is built off greed in money and scams, that’s what’s really scaring people off.

Your video should’ve been about trust. Who can trust who? I had my card stolen. I was scammed out of my cards when I first started collecting. Some of my Dickey Thron cards were stolen when I was at work once. Everybody’s trying to get over on everyone. Where is your happy side? Not full glass is?

Camaraderie........that word says it all. There's a big HAM radio fest in Dayton, OH every year......Most folks set up in the flea market (which is absolutely beyond HUGE by the way) simply....and ONLY....because of Camaraderie.....most of those guys couldn't give a shit whether they make money or not...They are JUST happy to be there, meet old friends, establish new friends, do a little buying...do a little selling, and really just have a damn good time. God bless 'em... Sport card shows (and OTHER hobbies for THAT matter_) could stand to learn a LESSON and PAY attention... Part of the issue that's killing this hobby is "COMPS"....EVERYBODY just HAS to check out the "COMPS" before they buy. If I'm at a show...and the piece is already marked..and the dealer goes..."Let me double-check that price" (and they are doing a "COMP" CHECK.....I just walk away now. I don't need to deal with people like that. I usually show them my wallet filled with Benji's (which I always bring mucho cash).....and say, "Sorry...you just PISSED me off"...and WALK.
