People show interest in motorcycle clubs, riding groups, organizations, etc. every day, and they often show up excited and over eager, and they simply commit no nos right off the bat. There's an old naval saying, "When assuming the watch, don't change the settings of the sails until you wait 30 minutes." That allows the new person to understand why the sails were set in their current configuration.

Thanks. I'm not a biker, haven't rode for years but I grew up with and around the culture. Your messages are relevant to life in general and especially to those of us who are still around. The majority of folks I run with are a weird mixture of bikers, rockers and people who don't fit the norm. This video especially fits. Again thanks.

Way back in 1977 when I was 15, one of my buddies who was older than me, was dealing drugs to a really hard core chapter of a national, well known, 1% MC. Me and some other friends went with him to one of their parties by invitation from the chapter president. Nobody had to tell us what RESPECT meant; i.e. we parked as far away as we could from all of those beautiful knuckles, shovels and pans. When we got out EVERY last club member was glaring at us (party was outside) until Daddy Rat (chapter Pres) came over and bear hugged my buddy. Then they went back to partying and ignored us. When I say this chapter was hard core, I'm not kidding. They owned the crank trade in that region (i.e. meth) and probably had a meth lab set up. They were also running guns as well and were into all kinds of criminal enterprises involving theft, extortion etc. So we didn't talk to anyone nor lock eyes with anyone. We hung out for an hour while my buddy did a deal with the president and then we booked it. My buddy then starting trying to recruit me to provide entertainment for them with my 100Watt amplifier (I'm a guitar player). I loved and still love any and all things Harley Davidson (I own a Fat Boy) and never disrespected them. I understand the comradery even though I never joined a club. But those guys were way too dangerous for me. At 15 or 16 I would have more or less been their in house rocking guitar player "mascot" but I told him NO WAY, despite my buddy calling me a pussy. As far as I know, most of those guys in that chapter eventually ended up dead or in prison. And my buddy? He ended up doing time for a pound of weed and almost died multiple times from shooting cocaine. It took him TWENTY YEARS to get clean. I left that lifestyle at 18 and I'm happy to be alive and well and still riding as a lone wolf - God is good. And yes, I show respect to MC's by not wearing patches a lone wolf has no business wearing (I prefer not to wear any patches).

I am actually in the process of getting vetted for said organization, so this is a nice reminder to not get over zealous. Great advice, could be universally applied across the board in every org, bike related or not. You would think that folks would understand these basics and not have to be told; but there’s always intrusive folks that feel the “need” to act this way. Basic human decency, courtesy, and respect goes a long way in life.

I just came across your page. I have been riding over 20 years. I was in an RC. I had to stop riding for a while due to medical reasons. I have been aloud to ride again. I got a group of guys I ride with ( Not a club) But long story short I have learned the etiquette when it comes to the 1% clubs. I was out with my girl one day and I was wearing my support shit ( I will not name) And a guy came up to me and introduced himself to me. We had a conversation and then he asked me if I knew a certain member of that club of the shirt I had on. I said, "No I have never met him" ( I have rode with him and I have even been to his house really great guy. But I will not tell anyone if I know someone from a 1% club. When we said our goodbye my girl asked me, " Why did you tell him you don't know that guy when you have rode with him and go to his house?" I explained to her that in this world you NEVER name drop it is a great way to get your ass kicked. LESS SAID IS BEST SAID. I think you should do a video of name dropping because some people I don't think know much about that. Especially when it comes to a 1% club. I am so glad I found this page great refresher for me. I know a lot about what you are talking about but it helps to be reminded after not being out there for a few years. Thank you

Or ask the bartender to take it off his tab, put it on yours, pay, then leave with your girl. Or, alternately, you could walk over to him with the drink, smash it on his head and cut his throat with the glass. Every situation is different.

In my local area - well I do not participate. I am not anything, just a gent that will have a beverage with someone, on a single basis. So my interactions are in my view more real of the flavor of the group. I have chatted both MC and MO organizations. While I would support the same MO you are part of - well - I can support IT - without being a member. That is my path. As I say - Cheers to you! You would find me - in the corner - with my back to a wall. I once was admonished by my grandfather about - "looking the Fool, and then opening my mouth and removing all doubt". I sit silent, until a question is asked of me. I like your laughs! I try to inject humor too! PS - wait till the beard turns grey - and the "package" does too. Don't fret - it still shoots! lol

Just found & subscribed to the channel. It’s all about common sense, courtesy on the road, and being a better rider. Glad I ran across this channel. I’m older than most of the classic bikes out there. In fact, I was kicked off the Ark. On that black paint job, I have a thought. Don’t laugh right away, because I saw this done on an old British machine, and it was done by a super skilled hand. The talent some folks have never ceases to amaze me. It had iridescent pearl pin-striping of about 3 or 4 different widths throughout, and it was over satin black. The machine was one of the classiest I’ve ever seen. Coffin tanks have a long standing tradition of out of the box shyt.

Blitz Black rocks. Some of the toughest/ cheapest paint out there. I did my whole track car in it after I redid the body and it came out excellent. It comes in gallons, rattle cans, etc. Deere has its own primer that you can buy with it directly from the stealership, and it's super cheap. As long as your prep work is on point it's pretty much a no-brainer. Blitz Black is the cheapest way to get the 'hot rod' satin black finish, and since it comes in rattle cans its easy to touch up if needed. I see you're rocking the wink Rallye mirror too. Small world, I used one on the above mentioned track car as well. No blind spots is nice. Enjoy your channel, keep it up bro👍💪

New here to your channel, liking it🍻 great advice for pple that dont know. Not sure if anyone already mentioned this. Do you use nitrogen in your tires? If not switch to it, I run that in mine and always maintains pressure. 👍

Coffin tanks were popular because they are made from easy to cut flat sheet metal peaces. You would cut cardboard mock up peaces and tape them together until you got the size and shape you wanted. Then you would cut your steel peaces out and braze the peaces together. Back when people started building Chopper's there were no shop's that sold custom parts like there are today. You did everything in your garage or backyard shop.

Great advice,Every club/ organization will agree when a new fish appears in an Ocean full of sharks, gotta be Koo when being around big dogs, might get that ass chewed. That lifestyle is not for everyone, Some riders, have eBay bikes, and weekend warriors, only ride when it’s sunny and clear. Not saying ride in a storm, oh my it’s drizzling well so much for riding, that type of shit,Enjoy your channel keep growing, that rhino stuff looks good, there’s a reason why you are blessed. Work hard, play hard, love, loyalty, and respect. God sees that! Be blessed be careful, cuida la Familia!

I went to a couple meetings of this "organization" you speak of,about 2 yrs ago. Top off and Witchn are really good family friends of ours. They're the ones who sent the open invite to check them out. As matter of fact, I've done a bit of plumbing in top offs house. I decided to go a different direction but am highly reconsidering and going back. Did background and all and that's when I stopped going.

@@misters2837 I think you missed the joke. His channel is geared towards those that are in the motorcycle community. Yes we all have cages, but for those of us that ride we get it. He was making a joke that people from the motorcycle community as well as to get a laugh out of anyone that realizes that there is no such thing as a normal person. Normal is just a setting on my washing machine. I think you took it too seriously. This guy helps kids on a regular and I have never heard him be overtly crude to anyone. However I will say that I have also never met him in person and video can be edited. That being said I know the organization he is a part of and they have a great reputation for what they do in the communities that they preside.

Ive watched this vid in my feed probably 4-5 times in the last year or so, Man... I met that "over promise dude" at a recent meeting. Almost comical that you hit that nail so well... sure enough he wasn't able to accomplish half what he raised his hand for and now he's having to mend bridges. He's got a long road to go but hopefully his enthusiasm and a little "Old Dude" guidance will help him. Seems funny to me that I'm considered and old dude, but whatever... I liken getting to know an organization to deer hunting. You don't rush into the woods making all kinds of noise and draw attention to yourself. You enter quietly, find a nice spot to sit and you patiently wait and observe. It may take 5, 6, or 10 times, but someone will notice you and approach you and they'll want to know who you are and what you're about. Be patient and be consistent. Let them notice you on their terms. And for the love of Pete, don't name drop.

You should look into some Bluetooth valve stem covers to monitor the trailer tire pressure’s. Don’t know if your rig has it built in, but would be cool to check it real time on the road. Just a thought.
@ProfessionalMonkey
@ProfessionalMonkey 3 жыл бұрын
I actually bought one once and the damn thing couldnt monitor pressures above 85 psi. When your tires are cold inflated to 80, they go above 85 all the time and it would set the alarm off. I need one that goes to probably 110+ and those are really freaking expensive!

Great advice. I was invited to hang around a organization a couple of years ago. While I really enjoyed riding with them and hanging out at the clubhouse and whatnot it just never felt "right". The last get together I was at was a big event where they invited me to bring my wife and get to meet other guys from out of state, etc. One of the head guys had a candid conversation with me and said "we ain't looking for new guys so if this isn't for you don't waste everyone's time". He wasn't a dick about it, just being blunt and honest. I decided that night that I wasn't gonna hang around anymore.
