Haslar Hospital closed in 2009 and up untill recently the main building was completely untouched with items such as X-Ray machines, scanning equipment, patient records, ☢️ material and even 💯 real human body organs left inside!! The building is over 500 years old and as you can probably imagine has a LOT of history!.. i wanted to film something creepy for Halloween so decided to take a trip back to Haslar & see if i could catch anything spooky on camera… i definitely got a LOT more than i had hopped for! Infact what happened to me that night made me feel like i never eamt to go back there ever again!…
Hope you enjoy this weeks video guys, i can tell you it wasnt an easy task filming it 👻🙈
The Royal Hospital Haslar, formerly the Royal Naval Hospital Haslar was one of several hospitals serving the local area. It Is now being converted into retirement flats. The hospital itself is a Grade II listed building.
Although no record of a formal opening of the Royal Hospital Haslar can be traced, it is believed to have opened on the 12th October 1753. Many famous men and women have served at Haslar, among them James Lind, the 'father of nautical medicine' who discovered a cure for scurvy.

Mate, I’ve been a caretaker at Chillingham Castle, and I’ve SEEN a ghost, a full body apparition as real as a living person, and if this video wasn’t set up for halloween, you’ve got one hell of a set of balls because you wouldn’t catch me in there alone at night. I can tell by your breathing while you were trying to talk that you were bloody terrified. Gutsy, very gutsy mate! 💥🥊

You know why they don't give the chills as much anymore? I feel the same and I think it's because of all the dang equipment so many of these ghosting hunting channels use. The silly radio waves that are noisy and voice machines really irritate me. I think it's way more creepy and scary watching folk exploring an abandoned place on their own and just document and record what or what may not happen. A lot of these ghost hunters fake so much too and it's getting ridiculous. Even with solo exploration there could be an off-camera friend providing some hi-jinx. But this video, I think you'd hear way more if someone was creeping around after him because of all the debris on the ground.

About 12 years ago, I was over in the UK doing research at the University of Edinburgh. I rented a flat just off the royal mile. The building had once been an old brewery, but was now done up into nice, fully modernized units. I believe it was once called Blair's Brewery (?). Our unit was on the top floor, and in the master bedroom, there was a strange half-flight of stairs along the wall, leading to nowhere. Kind of a nice architectural feature, I thought. Until, a couple of nights after arriving, I went into the bedroom and was just going to turn on the lamp and get ready for bed. I had a weird feeling on the back of my neck, it was colder than it should have been, and I had the feeling of being watched. There was a sudden overwhelming smell of hops or malt, something that reminded me of beer, something like that, but sour, a rancid, sour beer smell. I turned around and sitting on the steps with the top of her head disappearing into the ceiling was a small girl, with braids and a white nightdress. I was too afraid to sleep in that room for the rest of our 3-month rental period. Luckily, the other bedroom had two smaller beds for children, and my son was young then, so I just slept on the other bed and never went near that bedroom the rest of the time we were there.

I know exactly how you felt. You know in a split second that there’s no other explanation than what you are looking directly at is a ghost. I bet you turned away from it? When I was caretaker at a haunted castle in Northumberland, I woke one morning in my apartment and saw an old lady by the fireplace smiling out the window. I saw her clearly and solid as any real person. She looked very kindly like a lovely old granny. I quickly looked away. Put my head under the covers. I didn’t want her gaze to move to meet mine. It’s pretty unnerving to see a ghost.

I saw nothing when you panicked right at the end, nothing at all. And I've been replaying that bit for ages. What am I missing? That being said, almost the whole vid the hairs on my back were standing up and I was terrified. I'm not religious and I don't believe in ghosts or anything that has not been proven to exist by science, but it's a hollow stance, as I'm utterly terrified by anything 'spooky'. Bloody great vid yet again Beardy!!!

But, did you not see the white cabinet's door that was nearest to the cam either beginning to be opened or just having been slightly opened & the small, black shape that was on the same door's inner edge (aka the "handle side")? The cabinet's doors appear to be fully closed & flush with each other, with no anomalous black thing on the inner edge of its nearest door in the clip of his 1st pass over that doorwell, as well as in the clip when he returned to that doorwell a few moments later to look inside the cabinet. Yet, in the clip immediately before he runs down the hall before returning to that doorwell to check inside the cabinet, the nearest cabinet door is slightly ajar & a small black shape appears to be on it's inner edge. As a speculation, I suppose that the black shape could potentially have been a part of something that had been opening the cabinet door. And, maybe something diminutive enough to fit within such a cabinet would have rather small hands (if it was humanoid in nature, at least). So, perhaps the small black shape could've been the fingers or part of the hand of something that was pushing the cabinet's door open from the inside, which may have been what the fellow saw & recorded during his 2nd pass over that particular doorwell, but which was gone by the time that he had returned to check inside the cabinet.

Everything usually has a rational and logical explanation sitting watching the video, but it's a different train of thought and atmosphere when you are there in the dark on your own though!. Hats off to Colin, he has caught more physical visible happenings that we can all see on video in one Halloween special than some Urbexing turned scooby doo channels have caught in an entire year, even with the help of their array of AliExpress ghost hunting starter kits and Google play apps!.

There absolutely was a few little giggles. Then the moving curtain and doors, the feeling like you bumped into someone, it was almost like someone knew they were going to scare the crap out of you and they were pree giggling!!!! Great video! Let me ask you, now that you have heard and seen these things, do you wonder just what might be in some or all the other old places that you investigate? I guarantee that I would!!!!! Your night time videos for Halloween are always GREAT! The one last year at that old hospital where you had already saw what looked like a little kid, then you go back at night and the ball rolls out all by itself!!!!!! Holy S*-T!!!! Same here. There was a UK Urbex channel I loved, he covered some great abandoned places then started on the paranormal (which I do believe in) but he were all about the drama. A quivering hand pointing shakily each time at the pillow, voice saying 'she died here'.... Using the necrophonica and similar apps which I have no faith in. You lose faith and trust in those channels but here, feels and is genuine. You can't beat that 💖

Pretty creepy Colin. Is there a chance that someone was already in there and were screwing around with you? I explored a vacant psychiatric hospital near where I lived, was used for many years. I and a friend were exploring it, and had doors close that a second before were open, heard footsteps, murmur of talking without nobody in sight, and a rock was thrown at us,we gave chase in the direction it came from,only to find a dead-end corridor. At that instant, we fled just as you did. Got in the car, parked it where we could see the only entrance and waited an hour and nobody exited. Scary stuff. Love your videos and presentation, excellent content. Be safe and healthy; Cheers from the states. 👍🤙

Secondly spirits feed of your fear so you need to stay in the moment and stay focused, don't show any form of fear ok..! And lastly at timestamp 7.53 that was a woman's voice, at timestamp 16.27 i can clearly hear a childs voice and other spirits chattering, and at timestamp 17.05 this is when the spirits are feeding of your own energy which is fear, and they will make you aware they are there..! Don't take this skepticism personal Bearded Explorer, but if.....IF....you didn't have someone in the building with you to move/bang that door at @17:08 and @19:15 then, holy cow.....you held it together better than I could have in that situation. I had a similar experience as a high schooler. Late one night me and a couple friends visited an abandoned school way out in the middle of nowhere in the mountains of Appalachia (very rural eastern USA). Through about 90 minutes of exploring nothing too creepy happened, and our final spot to explore was the old locker rooms in the gymnasium area. These were built under the stage along one side of the gym, so the rooms were all low ceiling, below grade (no large exterior windows). There was a hallway running the length of the locker room area under the stage (about 80-90 feet), with rooms off to each side of the hallway, and a steep staircase at each end leading up the stage. As I mentioned, low ceilings, all cinder block walls, no windows - very close & claustrophobic feeling. My friends and I get very creeped out as we walk along this hallway poking our heads into the few dungeon like rooms off on each side. As we get to the other end of the hallway, and pause before walking back up the stairs to the gym/stage area to end our night, all three of us hear, as clear as day, the sound of a little girl laughing back at the other end of the hallway. Like, a 2-3 second, crystal clear laugh. We all immediately snap our heads and lights back down the hall - we don't see anything, but I look at friend #1 and ask "Did you hear.....??" and Friend #2 just says "...little girl..?" and we BOOK IT out of there, out of the school, and down the hill to our car. Now, not saying we heard a ghost messing with us, but I almost prefer that it was. Because if it wasn't a ghost, then that meant that at 2AM, on a random cold fall weekend, about 1/4 mile from the nearest occupied housing, and 5+ miles from the nearest no-stoplight "town" in deep, dark Appalachia, there was a person in an abandoned school.....just silently watching me and my friends stumble about laughing nervously. And that thought makes me shudder more than any ghost.

Hi colin i only found your channel a couple of days ago and I am already hooked. If you are anywhere near Derbyshire I would love to go to one of these places with you. Im a psychic medium and have done abandoned buildings many many times but the people who used to go with me got to scared to carry on. Myself i love it. Great camera work and yes that was definitely a small child. Many blessings Amanda 🙏

Excellent work mate. A really good video and, yes, you certainly have balls of steel. I certainly wouldn't attempt this walkthrough..at all! I heard the little girl giggling a couple of times, but what the hell was that in the lobby at 1.37? A light anomaly or reflection? Certainly looked weird to me.

Well thanks for that you are very brave to go on your own, most hospitalls are haunted abandoned or not! Enjoyed a few ghost hunts in my time but would never go alone. Some great footage there.👻👻

I used to spend a lot of time in an often-deserted building that was originally a steam locomotive maintenance shed. Occasionally the double doors in the corridor would shut themselves a few seconds after I passed through them which was disconcerting but I realized that the doors had minimal clearance from the floor and the weight of me passing through sometimes deflected the floor just a tiny amount but enough to allow the doors to swing shut. That was the first thing I thought of after your first strange experience but it doesn't explain the rest. Another time I was playing drums alone in a locked room there and felt a tap on the shoulder. I had a camera running but it didn't pick anything up apart from me spinning around in surprise. I don't believe in ghosts but I would have ran out of that hospital a lot sooner than you did!

That was great. Really enjoyed this one. When your camera blurs for no reason that the camera detecting something there that’s paranormal mate. And you can see when you shared the small video on the right of the cupboard closing there’s a small hand holding the door. It’s a child I bet playing hide and seek! You did well going there alone buddy! And the Audible you captured of a female and child was amazing. Such a shame this building has been left to the elements of nature! Such history to these hospitals thousands or people dying there and being operated on! I just love these types of buildings” especially when there haunted 👻 Thanks for sharing 👍 Anthony, Derby, 🇬🇧

Hi Colin you are crazy man just going there on your own. But that was real scary and totally weird. Brilliant video though,the amount of equipment still left in there is such a waste.Surely some of it could be used by hospitals in other countries that need that stuff. I reckon next London marathon needs you to show off your running skills Lol!!! Look forward to next weeks less scary video.Take care.😀👻

Your draft caused the curtain to move. I don’t know why people associate the dark or night time with ghosts as it shouldn’t make any difference. I agree with what someone else said, when a building is this decayed, the slightest change in atmosphere / temperature would cause stuff to fall. There is always a sensible explanation for everything, we just may not be aware of that reason at the time. I remain very very sceptical about the presence of ghosts. I’m not saying I don’t believe in trapped spirits but …………… and if I was a ghost, I sure wouldn’t waste my time in an old hospital 🤣🤣 needless to say, I would shit myself if I was there alone x

@@GLING17 Yeah that's creepy alright, if not a bit perplexing. Sometimes I cough behind people I sneak up on, just to get their attention. Maybe that's what happened to you? Worked alone once or twice also, most I've ever heard were footsteps and maybe seen shadows darting across rooms.

@@Mannwhich Nobody snuck up behind me because I was inside of an office at that time and the cough came from right outside the door, not from behind me. There was nobody in the entire building except for me so it was a ghost. Nice try at trying to pass my experience off as being nothing. You weren't there so you have no room to even say anything about what happened.
@Mannwhich
@Mannwhich 2 ай бұрын
@@GLING17 Well not what I meant, sorry for the confusion. What I meant was, maybe some spirit / ghost was trying to get your attention, or catch you off guard? This $hit has happened to me also, so I know. knocks on walls, doors slamming, objects moving out of place, that's all attention seeking behavior (from the dead) in my opinion.

I like to watch paranormal videos with a very sceptical view but sometimes you have to say the juries out especially with this. What I mean is there is just stuff that happens. Even if 10% of things are unexplainable then that is enough to spark interest. Great video and I really enjoy how you present it with respect. I wish I could experience even a bit of this would be fun.
