God's love is demonstrated to us in the sending of His Son, and the Son's willingness to lay down His life. Why? Because there is no other way for sinful man to dwell in the presence of a Holy God. If there was another way for salvation, Jesus would not have had to die. If a person will repent (change their thinking) and believe in their heart (put their trust in Jesus), not just say the words, they can be saved. There are also false conversions, where people didn't really believe that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again according to the scriptures. True believers learn how bad sin is, and want to live a life pleasing to God. And without faith, it is impossible to please God (from Hebrews 11:6). We can do nothing to earn salvation. By trying to, and many do, they are saying, Jesus death wasn't enough. If anyone relies on their own works, it's like people trying to jump the Grand Canyon, with only their strength. Some people may get farther than others, but all will fall short. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" (Romans 3:23).

Accepting Christ DOES mean that we stop living in sin. If you really belive that Jesus died for your sins, you repent from your old way of living and pursue righteousness. It doesn't mean that you're not saved by faith, but genuine faith means rejecting your old nature. Apostle Paul says we are dead to sin, but alive to Christ for our old self has been crucified with Him. "For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins," Hebrews 10:26

Don't look at the name Jehovah's witnesses only as a name of a denomination but just maybe as someone who truly is a witness for Jesus. And don't forget that Jehovah is the name of our living God. Michael Hoversten- Jehovah isn't the correct name either but I won't get into that whole debate. I don't look at JW as another denomination. They are following a different Jesus. They deny Christ's deity by believing he is a created being and Michael the Archangel. They reject the Holy Spirit and say He's just an active force. You must trust and follow the right Jesus.
